Eligibility Criteria:

Educational Qualification:

  • To apply for the paper I (1st to 5th Class), you must have graduated with at least 45 % in aggregate along with B.Ed OR D.EL.ED/BTC (Diploma in Elementary Education) in BTC & Urdu.
  • Those who have completed their X and XII along with Diploma in Elementary Qualification OR Diploma in Teacher Education (according to D.T.Ed. from other than Tamil Nadu, the certificate should be valued before to the confirmation of the certificate) for the recognized Teacher Training Institute or DIET.
  • Those who are in their last year of the semester/ year of D.E.Ed. an examination can also apply for TNTET 2022 exam.
  • To apply for TNTET Paper-II (6th to 8th Class), the candidate must have successfully cleared Post-graduate in B.Sc/B.A/Litt in Math’s, Physics, Geography, English, Chemistry, Botany, History and D.El.ED (Diploma in Elementary Education) of 4 years OR B.Ed from some recognized college/university.
  • Those who are doing their under-graduation (B.A./B.Sc./B.Litt.) with subjects like Mathematics, Tamil, English, Chemistry, Physics, Zoology, Botany, History and Geography as most important crucial subjects in the course/stream or a degree with at least one similar subjects (related to equivalent the subjects, under the government issued before the due date) from some well-recognized college/university with XII and Graduation including B.Ed. from the university and getting an appointment as Graduate Teacher can write Paper 2nd. The Aspirants with B.Lit., (Tamil) degree must hold anyone from D.T.Ed. OR B.Ed. OR TPT.
  • Those who are appearing in the final year of B.Ed. may also apply for TN TET 2022.
  • Those who have done a Diploma in Elementary Education (BTC), in Urdu and BTC, 2 years may also apply.

TNTET 2022 Age Criteria:

Those who are applying must have age between 18 – 40 years. There may be chances of age relaxation as per the government policy & rules.

TNTET 2022 Application Form:

The application form can be collected from the online portal of TRB. It is advised to satisfy the eligibility conditions and then apply for the TNTET exam. Usually the application form for TNTET exam releases in the month of April every year. After collecting the application form, add all the crucial details like Name, Parent’s Name, Address, Contacts, Upload Documents, Etc. Once you fill the details, upload all the scanned documents and then proceed to make the payment of the Application Fee.

Steps to Apply are as follows:

  1. Open the website of TRB “www.trb.tn.nic.in
  2. Download the TNTET Notification Pdf, which is available on the home page.
  3. Click “Apply Online” link and fill the online form. Be aware of the spelling or errors.
  4. Upload all the required documents such as photograph, signature, and other documents.
  5. After uploading all the documents, make a payment of the fee.
  6. Check the details carefully and then make the final submission.

Application Fee:

Application fee is the compulsory fee which all applicants need to pay. The amount to be paid by General category candidates is Rs 500/- and for SC/ST/PwD category candidates, it should be Rs 250/-

Important to Note: For making the payment, deposit the E-challan in any branch of IOB (Indian Overseas Bank)/Indian Bank/Canara Bank.

Admit Card:

  • The TNTET Admit card 2022 will be provided 10 days prior to the examination date to be conducted.
  • Download the admit card 2022 via online mode using the official website.
  • Aspirants must carry their genuine admit card while moving to appear in the examination
  • Carry the admit card along with anyone Photo ID Proof.
  • You can avail admit card only via online mode and once you receive the card, check all the mentioned details.

Exam Result:

  • The result will be released after 40 days of the examination.
  • Click on the direct link, enter enroll number and date of birth/password to check the Exam result.
  • Those who successfully clear TNTET examination will get the certificate and will be invited for the interview round.

Selection Process:

To select the candidates, Exam authority will analyse the candidate’s performance in the exam as well as Interview. The names that are mentioned in the merit list/cutoff will be hired as a government teacher in the schools of Tamil Nadu after the final interview round gets over.

Certificate Validity:

The certificate of qualifying the TNTET exam has a validity of 7 years. The period will be counted from the date of result declaration. Those candidates who wish to improve their marks may appear again in the exam.
