WBUT PGET 2022: The Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology was formerly known as the West Bengal University of Technology. The university conducts an entrance examination for admission to the WBUT PGET 2022-23. courses in the colleges of West Bengal. The GATE qualified candidates are also required to appear for the exam, as they don’t get an exemption for their Gate scores. However, weightage shall be given to candidates with GATE score while preparing the merit list.

WBUT PGET 2022 Application Form:

The application form shall be available for June 2022 while the last date of submitting the application form would be in July 2022. The candidates should download the application form from the official link, which is: www.wbutpget.in. The candidates have to fill up the personal, educational, and communication details in the application form. The candidates should give the GATE 2022 details if they have applied for it.

The application fee is Rs.600/- for general and OBC category students, and Rs.300 for SC/ST category candidates. The candidates should prepare a demand draft from any nationalized bank favoring “MAKUTWB-PGET” payable at Kolkata, to pay the fee.

The filled up application form should be sent to the university along with the self-attested photocopies of the relevant mark sheet, GATE scorecard, and any other relevant documents.

Eligibility Criteria:

The following are the eligibility criteria for WBUT PGET 2022:

1. The candidates must have completed a bachelor’s degree in Engineering/ Technology/architecture/ pharmacy from a recognized university or institute.
2. The candidates who shall be appearing in the final year of the qualifying examination are also eligible.
3. The candidates who are Associate Member of Professional of Engineers recognized by the Government of India as being the equivalent course to a degree in engineering are also eligible to apply.
4. The candidates who have an M.Sc. degree or are appearing in the final year examinations in the appropriate branches are also eligible to apply.
5. However, the candidates with the degree from a distance education programme are not eligible to apply for this course.

Exam Pattern:

1. The duration of the examination will be of two hours.
2. The candidates have to attempt a single paper of 100 marks.
3. The question paper will be of a total of 100 MCQ.
4. All the questions will be in English only.
5. The question paper will comprise of :

• General section: consisting of English, Aptitude in logic, Reasoning power and Mathematics for 20 marks
• Mathematics, Basic Science and Engineering Science for 30 marks.
• Relevant Engineering Section for 50 marks.

Counselling Process:

The candidates who are listed in the merit list should pay a counselling fee of Rs.500/-. The student must attend the counseling in person and must carry the original documents for verification. The candidates have to pay an allotment fee of Rs.5000/- in addition to the counselling fee. They must pay the fee by separate demand drafts each drawn in favor of “MAKUTWB-PGET from any nationalized bank payable at Kolkata.

All the fees are non-refundable but the admission fee of Rs.5000/- paid during counseling shall be adjusted against on taking admission.
