CG PAT 2023CG PAT 2023: Chhattisgarh Pre Agriculture Test also is known as the CG PAT is an entrance exam conducted in the Chhattisgarh state by the Chhattisgarh Professional Examination Board, Raipur. It grants admission to various colleges in courses like B.Sc. Agriculture and B.Sc. Horticulture. All these courses are offered by Indira Gandhi Agriculture University (IGAU). For B.Sc. Agriculture, there are 1259 seats (approx.) offered by almost 21 colleges all over the state. On the other hand, 6 colleges are offering 272 seats in B.Sc. Horticulture. CG PAT 2023 Application Form:

You can apply for CG PAT 2023 through online mode. However, paying for application fees can be done in both ways i.E. online and offline. The application form is available on the official website of the apex body conducting the exam.

Following are the steps to apply for CG PAT 2023 :

  • Head over to the official website of Chhattisgarh Professional Examination Board viz. www.cgvyapam.choice.gov.in.
  • You will see a tab displaying “CG PAT 2023 Application Form”. Click on it.
  • After confirming your citizenship, you have to select one of the groups – Maths Group (PCM), Biology Group (PCB), and Agriculture Group.
  • Candidates will then be shown the Online Application Form.
  • Aspirants have to fill up the particulars like personal details, academic details, etc.
  • There are various mandatory fields that you need to fill up like religion, preference of examination centers, identification marks, height, and weight.
  • After assuring that the details filled up are correct, candidates can click on the “Submit” button.
  • Now, you must keep a scanned copy of your photograph and signature handy to upload it when asked. The format and size of the photograph must be as it is directed so that it can be uploaded successfully.
  • Aspirants have the option to pay the fees by online and offline mode. SBI Challan is accepted at any of the SBI branches or you can pay through credit or debit cards on the website itself.

Eligibility Criteria:

Every candidate must be aware of the CG PAT exam. It reduces the chance of your application getting rejected. It is necessary to check the minimum qualifications, age, and other thresholds required for CG PAT.

Here is a list of criteria required to apply for a CG PAT. Look into it before filling up the application form.

  • Candidate must be a citizen of India.
  • Candidate must possess a domicile certificate of Chhattisgarh state.
  • The minimum age for candidates belonging to the General category is 25 years whereas, for Scheduled Caste(SC), Scheduled Tribe(ST), Other Backward Classes (OBC), the minimum age required is 28 years.
  • Aspirants must have passed 12th or equivalent examination from Chhattisgarh board or any recognized board in India.
  • The candidate must have taken Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics/ Biology/ Biotechnology as compulsory subjects in the 12th.
  • General category students must have scored at least 50% marks, while others must have secured at least 45% marks in the 12th board exam/any equivalent exam to apply for CG PAT 2023.

CG PAT Exam Pattern:

If the aspirants know the exam pattern of CG PAT 2023, they can prepare for the exam with great ease. Candidates can also practice previous year’s question papers to know about the trends of questions appearing in the CG PAT exam.

  • The duration of the exam is 2 hours.
  • The paper consists of 200 questions.
  • For every question, four options will be given to the candidate.
  • The question will be from the category you have chosen in the application form.
  • CG PAT will be conducted in offline mode, only.
  • The questions will be in two languages i.e English and Hindi.

Syllabus:

  • Physics: Kinematics, Gravitation, Electromagnetic Induction, Light, Dimensional analysis, Work, power, and Energy, Thermodynamics, Electrostatics, Waves & Oscillations.
  • Chemistry: Organic Chemistry, Physical Chemistry, Inorganic Chemistry
  • Mathematics: Trigonometry, Statistics, Linear Programming, Co-Ordinate Geometry, Algebra, Differential Calculus, Vector Algebra, Numerical Methods
  • Biology: Genetics, Cancer, Protozoan Diseases, Botany, Pesticides, Origin of life, Taxonomy Evolution, Communicable Diseases

Admit Card:

Aspirants can download the admit card from the official website of the conducting board on which they submitted the application form. A print out of the admit card must be taken out by the aspirant for future reference. The admit card contains important information like center, name, exam timing, and other credentials. Admit Card must be carried to the exam center on the exam date, failing of which candidate will not be allowed to take the exam.

Result:

The results will be declared on the official website and aspirants are requested to check their results to know their qualifications. Qualified students will be called up for counseling after the merit list is released. In this process, they will be allotted seats in colleges depending on the rank secured by the candidate. You can also download the scorecard for future reference.

Answer Key:

However, various institutes and websites release their answer key a few hours after the exam is completed. You can tally your answers to know the expected score. You can also wait for the official answer key released by the conducting authority. This answer key is the most authentic one.

CutOff:

The merit list is released after the results. The merit list is based on the cutoff list. The cutoff list depends on the complexity of questions and the number of aspirants taking up the exam. After the cutoff list is released followed by the merit list, the counselling process is initiated for the allocation of seats for various courses offered by the colleges.
