Lucknow University Admission 2022: The Lucknow University is a public state university based in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh. Founded in 1867, the Lucknow University is one of the oldest government-owned institution of higher education in India. The University offers courses for undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral programs under several fields. Lucknow University is a teaching, residential and affiliating university, organized into more than 160 colleges and institutes, located throughout the city and other surrounding areas. Lucknow University Admission 2022 Application Form:

Admission to Lucknow University is possible through filling out the application form. The form is available via online mode. The applicant can receive the application form via the following procedures:

• The online kind filling is accomplished through the official website of the university.
• The form needs to be filled accurately asked by the university on the form.
• Applicant must need to provide personal and educational details such as e-mail id, phone number, qualification, scanned images of passport size photograph and signature.
• It is beneficial to keep a printout of the filled form after submitting it to the authorities.

Lucknow University Application Fee:

The applicant will be able to submit the application fee through online mode via debit card, credit card, or net banking. The application fee for different courses and different categories will be as:

For UG courses:

• General & OBC Rs 800 without late fee and Rs 1800 with a late fee.
• SC/ST Rs 400 without late fee and Rs 1400 with a late fee.

For PG courses:

• General & OBC Rs 1000 without late fee and Rs 2000 with the late fee.
• SC/ST Rs 500 without late fee and Rs 1500 with a late fee.

Eligibility Criteria:

Undergraduate courses

• The applicant should have completed Higher Secondary School with at least 60% marks and 55% for reserved category.
• Those applicants who want admission in B.Sc. Mathematics must have Mathematics as a mandatory subject in the Board exams.
• Those applicants who want admission in B.Sc. Biology must have Biology as a mandatory subject in the Board exams.
• Those applicants who want admission in technical courses like engineering should have studied subjects Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics in their Higher Secondary School exams.

Postgraduate courses:

• The applicant should have completed graduation courses with at least 45% marks for General & OBC candidates and 40% marks for SC/ST category candidates.
• The bachelor’s degree should be from a recognized university.

LL.M. Courses:

• The applicant should have completed an LLB degree with at least 50% marks for General & OBC candidates and 48% marks for SC/ST category candidates.
• The bachelor’s degree should be from a recognized university.

MBA Courses:

• The applicants must qualify for graduation in any stream to be eligible for examination.
• The applicants will be also eligible to apply through national level test scores of CAT.

Exam Pattern:

The University conducts entrance exam for various courses. On behalf of the performance of applicants in the entrance exam, the authorities select the candidates for further admission procedure. There will be negative marking in the entrance exam for each wrong answer.

For UG courses:

• There will be a total of 100 multiple choice questions in the entrance exam.
• Candidates will get 1 hour 30 minutes to solve the question paper.
• Each correct answer will be awarded 4 marks and each 1 mark will get deducted for each wrong answer.

For PG courses:

• There will be a total of 10 questions in the entrance exam.
• Candidates will get 2 hours to solve the question paper.

Syllabus:

The syllabus is based on the selected course by the applicant. For the UG admission entrance examination, questions will be asked from subjects asked in the 12^th level examination. For the PG admission entrance exam, queries are going to be asked from the graduation level.

Admit Card:

Those applicants whose applications are accepted by the university can download the admit card from the Lucknow University web portal. The applicants would require registering their e-mail address against which password would be allotted by the university. The applicants can download the admit card by logging in through this e-mail and password.

Result:

The list of selected applicants who can proceed for counseling and admission would be published in the university’s web portal.

Answer Key:

The shortlisted applicants are called for counseling by the Lucknow University. Applicants are included in the university’s merit list as per their performance in several exams depending on their selected courses.

Cut Off:

The cut off depends on the selected course by the applicant. The applicant self-assess his eligibility by tallying it with the university’s set eligibility criteria.
