Eligibility Criteria for LFAT 2024:

It is important for applicants to go through the eligibility criteria before applying for LFAT 2024.

  • The candidate must have successfully completed class XII or equivalent exam, which should be recognized by the admission council of the university or Bar Council of India.
  • General category candidates must have obtained a minimum of 45% marks in class XII or in an equivalent examination and the OBC category applicant must have acquired at least 42% to apply. SC/ST category candidates must have attained at least 40% in class XII.

LFAT 2024 Application Form:

  • First, go to the official website.
  • Then go to the Home Page and select LFAT 2024 and choose ‘Proceed’.
  • Now, move on to the new page, and click on Apply for LFAT 2024 and the application form will appear on the screen.
  • In this application form, fill all the important details and upload the documents as well.
  • After getting done with the application form, make payment of the application form.
  • The application fee for LFAT 2024 will be Rs1600/- for General category applicants and Rs 800/- for OBC category and candidates from other categories.
  • After getting done, the application form process comes to an end. Keep a copy of the form for the future.
  • Candidates will also be sent a registration number and password which should be kept safely for further requirements.

Exam Pattern:

  • The examination will be commenced in the offline mode.
  • The candidate will get 120 minutes for completing 150 questions.
  • The questions will appear from Language Comprehension, General Awareness and Reasoning, and Legal Aptitude.
  • Paper will have multiple-choice questions
  • There will be a deduction of one-third marks for every incorrect answer. In Part 1 & 2 and two-third marks for every incorrect answer in Part 3.

Admit Card:

Those who have successfully submitted the application form will receive the admit card. The admit card will also be provided via online mode. To fetch the admit card/hall ticket, visit the official website.

  1. Go to the home page and click on Download Admit Card for LFAT 2024.
  2. A login page will appear in which enter Login ID and password
  3. Click on ‘Login.’
  4. After logging in, the Admit Card can be seen on the screen.
  5. Make sure to avail print of the Admit Card
    • Language Comprehension will have 50 questions for 100 marks
    • General Awareness Language Comprehension will have 50 questions for 100 marks
    • Reasoning and Legal Aptitude Language Comprehension will have 50 questions for 100 marks
    • The entire paper needs to be completed in 150 minutes.

LFAT 2024 Syllabus:

The paper will have 3 sections:

  • Language Comprehension: This section will have questions in both English and Hindi languages. Thus, candidates must do every topic in both languages. Some important topics covered in this section include – Reading Comprehension, Grammar Based Error Spotting and Sentence Correction, Antonym Synonym, Usage of Words, Analogies, etc.
  • General Awareness and Reasoning: Candidates need to prepare from static and current general knowledge. Topics included in this section are Indian Polity, Indian History and Geography, International Events, United Nations, Sports, Environmental News, Awards and Achievements and Major Changes happening in Politics. Reasoning includes topics such as Number Series, Alphabet Series, Linear Arrangements, Circular Arrangements, Direction Sense, Blood Relations, Syllogisms, and Critical Reasoning, etc.
  • Legal Aptitude: This section includes topics such as Torts, Law of Crimes, Indian Constitution, Contracts Law, Vicarious Liability, Strict Liability, Intellectual Property Rights, and International Laws, etc.

Exam Result:

The result for LFAT 2024 will be announced towards the end of September month. Results will be available on the official website of the University. Steps to check result are as follows:

  1. First, go to the official website
  2. Visit the homepage and ‘Download Result for BA LLB.’
  3. A login page will appear in which candidates will enter Login ID and password as provided during registration, and click on ‘Login.’
  4. After logging in, LFAT 2024 Score Card will flash on the screen.
  5. Take a print out of the Score Card to fulfill further needs.

Cut off:

Cut off is the minimum mark that candidates need to score to seek admission in LFAT 2024. Here are the details of LFAT 2024 Cut off: –

  • General category candidate – 30% marks.
  • OBC category candidates – 27% marks.
  • There are no minimum qualifying criteria for SC/ST category applicants.
  • General category applicants should acquire 182.4 marks.
  • OBC category applicants should acquire172.8 marks.
  • SC category applicants should acquire 152 marks.
  • ST category applicants should acquire 116 marks.

Counselling:

After the result declaration, counseling process will take place to seek admission. Shortlisted candidates will appear in the counselling process along with all the necessary documents such as:
