GATE Papers List: One should take initiative to know all about the GATE Papers List. The GATE exam will be commenced by IISc Bangalore and the seven Indian Institutes of Technology (at Bombay, Delhi, Guwahati, Kanpur, Kharagpur, Madras, and Roorkee) on behalf of the National Coordination Board (NCB)-GATE, Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Education (MoE), Government of India. To appear in the examination, one should have the list of papers which are provided below:
Papers List:
GATE will be conducted for 29 papers. A candidate is allowed to appear in ANYONE or UP TO TWO papers of the GATE examination. The table shows the list of papers with codes.

New Papers:
Geomatics Engineering (GE):
- The Paper contains the General Aptitude (GA) section (15 Marks) as applicable for all papers of GATE 2022.
- The rest of the paper consists of two parts covering the syllabus: Part A (55 marks) and Part B (30 marks).
- Part A is compulsory for all the candidates.
- Part B contains two optional sections: Section I and Section II. Candidates have to choose any one of these during the examination. No separate score and ranking will be provided based on the selection of sections.
Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering (NM)
The Paper contains the General Aptitude (GA) section (15 Marks) as applicable for all papers of GATE 2022. The rest of the Paper will have 85 marks covering the syllabus.
