CENTAC 2022CENTAC 2022: CETAC stands for Centralized Admission Committee, Puducherry. The state-level examination commences examination every year to provide admission to the candidates in various Engineering & Pharmacy courses. There will be no entrance test for undergraduate courses as candidates will be able to seek admission on the basis of scores attained in class XII. Eligibility Criteria:

Given below are the complete details about the eligibility criteria which candidates must know about for availing the admission:

  • Those who are citizens of India may register.
  • Candidate’s age should be at least 17 years for BAMS and 21 years for B.Tech course. There will be age relaxation of 3 years for providing admission to SC category applicants.

Qualification Criteria:

B.Tech Course:

  • Applicant must have successfully cleared class XII or equivalent examination from some recognized board.
  • Candidate must have successfully completed Class XII with subjects such as Physics & Mathematics along with any one from Chemistry/Biology/Bio-Technology/Computer Science to apply for B.Tech
  • You must have acquired at least 45% marks and 40% for reserved category applicants.
  • SC category candidates may attempt three times and for others, two times.

For B.Pharm Course:

  • Applicant must have successfully cleared class XII or equivalent examination from some recognized board.
  • Candidate must have successfully completed Class XII with subjects such as Physics & Chemistry along with any one from Mathematics /Biology/Bio-Technology/Computer Science to apply for B.Pharm
  • You must have acquired at least 45% marks and 40% for reserved category applicants.
  • There is no attempt limit to apply.

BAMS (Bachelor of Ayurveda Medicine and Surgery) Course:

  • Applicant must have successfully cleared class XII or equivalent examination from some recognized board.
  • Candidate must have studied subjects such as Physics, Biology, Chemistry & English subjects individually.
  • Candidate must have acquired at least 50% marks (General category), 40% marks (SC/ST/OPH) & 45% marks (OBC/BCM/MBC/EBC/OPH (GEN & OBC).
  • Candidate will get only one attempt.

BDS and MBBS Courses:

  • Applicant must have successfully cleared class XII or equivalent examination from some recognized board.
  • Candidate must have passed the subjects such as Physics, Chemistry and Biology or Bio-Technology, Zoology, Botany and English individually.
  • Candidate must have acquired at least 50% marks and 40% doe those belonging to reserved category.
  • Admission is based on the rank acquired in the NEET Exam.
  • There are no limits of attempts.

For B.Sc. (MLT) Course:

  • Applicant must have successfully cleared class XII or equivalent examination from some recognized board.
  • Candidate must have passed the subjects such as Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English individually.
  • Candidate must have acquired at least 50% marks and 40% doe those belonging to reserved category.
  • Candidates can attempt many times.

B.Sc. (Nursing)

  • Applicant must have successfully cleared class XII or equivalent examination from some recognized board.
  • Candidate must have passed the subjects such as Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English individually.
  • Candidate must have acquired at least 50% marks and 40% doe those belonging to reserved category.
  • Candidates can attempt many times.

CENTAC 2022 Application Process:

The CENTAC 2022 Application Form will be released in the month of July every year and the duly filled form should be submitted by the month of August through online mode. Check the below mentioned steps to fill application form:

  • Acquire the application form using online mode via website https://www.centaconline.in/
  • Enter the name, date of birth and mobile number/email id to avail user id and password to login the application form.
  • Use User ID and password to login and filling the application form
  • Fill all the personal and educational details carefully and correctly in the application form. After this, upload the photograph in the prescribed format.
  • Submit the application fee using modes such as debit card, credit card, and net banking.
  • General category applicants will submit the application fee Rs 500 for one course, Rs 750 for two courses, and Rs 1000 for three courses.
  • Reserved category applicants will submit the application fee Rs25 for one course, Rs 350 for two courses, and Rs 500 for three courses.

Documents Required to be submitted along with the Application Form:

  • A Copy of Online Payment
  • Nationality Certificate
  • Permanent Integrated Certificate
  • Special Category Certificate (if applicable)
  • Self-attested copy of Certificate depicting candidate’s Age
  • Self -attested copies of Degrees and Mark-sheets of Class XII examination or other educational qualifications.
  • Reservation/Caste Certificate (if applicable)
  • Candidate’s Passport-size photographs (should not be three months older)
  • Community Certificate (if applicable)
  • Nativity Certificate (if applicable)
  • Sports Certificate (if applicable)

Reservation Criteria:

According to the Government norms, seat reservation is for seats proffered in several courses. Check the seat distribution below:

  • General: 50
  • Other Backward Classes (OBC) 11
  • Backward Classes Muslims (BCM) 2
  • Most Backward Classes (MBC) 18
  • Extreme Backward Classes (EBC) 2
  • Backward Tribes: 1
  • Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribes: 16
  • Children/Grand Children of Freedom Fighters: 4
  • Physically Challenged : 3
  • Wards of Ex-Servicemen: 1 or 3
  • Candidate who are Meritorious in Sports: 1

Merit List:

A separate merit list will be prepared for admission to several courses. The merit list of the selected candidates will be published via website of the three universities. The result will be announced by the month of June.

Steps to download the Merit List:

  1. Go to the official website and click on the link that reads CENTAC 2022 Results
  2. Enter the registered enrollment number in the window that appears on screen.
  3. Press ‘Submit’, the result will appear on screen.
  4. Result window will exhibit the cut off marks and call letter.

Cut Off:

Cut off is minimum marks to acquire to be eligible for admission to several undergraduate programs. Cut off marks vary from one institute to another. The cut off marks also depend on the course and the category of the candidate who have been shortlisted on the basis CENTAC ranks. Factors for Cut off Marks:

  • Seat availability in the course for which admission is sought
  • The cutoff trends of prior years
  • Performance in Class XII

Counselling:

Check the counseling details below:

  • Counseling will be an offline process.
  • Those who are meeting the cut off marks will able to seek their names in the merit list prepared by committee.
  • The Merit List will be prepared based on the marks acquired in accordance of the ranks.
  • Candidates will be called for counselling in order of the ranks and seat allotment based on the Merit List. Candidates will be informed about counseling through a letter.
  • The counseling will most probably conducted in the month of June and will get over by the month of July.
  • Candidates may also check the counseling schedule through website.
  • CENTAC 2020 Counselling will be conducted offline.
  • The qualified applicants will appear for counselling and carry important documents for verification.

Documents required for Counselling:

  • Permanent Residence Certificate
  • Mark Sheet of Class XII and X
  • Attested copies of mark sheet of Class XII
  • Category certificate (if applicable)
  • Qualifying exam degree/mark sheet
  • Call letter
  • A copy of application form

After the counseling process gets over, the exam conducting authority will release the seat allotment list. Candidates will download their provisional allotment letter from the official website and report at the allotted center with all the required documents. If candidates fail to report on the allotted time, the seat will be cancelled or will be given to another candidate.
