Assam SLET 2023 Process to Apply:

Here are the easy steps to apply for the examination:

  • Go to the official website www.sletneonline.co.in and avail of the application form.
  • It is important to keep the scan copy certificates, passport-sized colored photograph, and signature duly attested and signed by the candidate.
  • Submit the duly attested M.A/ M.Sc./M.Com, certificate, and Mark-sheet by uploading with the latest photograph and signature.
  • An attested copy of the SC/ST/OBC certificate / PWD category certificate, from the authorized person, also uploaded.
  • The size of the scanned photograph & signature with the size limit of 5 KB to 50 KB
  • Submit the application fee to any State Bank of India
  • Acquire the printout of the submitted Application Form, after depositing the application form.

Application Fee:

Applicants belonging to the General category must submit Rs. 1200/-, OBC category will pay Rs. 1050/-, SC/ST category applicants will pay Rs. 1000/- and the PWD category will pay Rs. 800/-

Assam SLET 2023 Eligibility Criteria:

Check the eligibility criteria given below:

  • The candidate must be an Indian
  • It is compulsory to have acquired at least 55% marks in post-graduation or equivalent examinations from Universities/institutions recognized by UGC. However, the percentage is 50% for Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), Person with Disability (PWD) Category, the Other Backward Classes (OBC)
  • Those who have appeared or will be appearing at the final qualifying Master’s degree (final year) exam and waiting for the result may also apply.
  • There is no age limit.

Change of Test Center:

If any candidate wants to change the test center, submission of Rs. 300/- per candidate is mandatory pay.

Exam Pattern:

The following are the crucial details about the Exam pattern:

  • There will be two papers – Paper 1 and Paper 2.
  • The exam will consist of multiple-choice questions and the question will be based on Objective Type, Matching, Assertion and Reasoning, and True and False

Paper Wise Pattern:

  • Paper I – Based on the general subject, applicants will be assessed on teaching/research aptitude.
  • Paper-II – It will be objective type with each question for 2 marks. There will be no negative marking.  The exam will be held in two sessions.

Change of Test Centres:

There is an option to change the exam center. Within the 7 days of application form submission, change the exam center. The fee for changing the exam center will be Rs 300/-. It is compulsory to send the application to the Coordinator of the original center, along with the Centre change fee within seven days.

Admit Card:

Download the admit card using the website www.sletneonline.co.in. In case of loss of admit card, a duplicate admits card will be issued. Admit card is the most important document to be carried at the examination center. It contains all the important information such as name, address, exam venue, exam time/day/date, etc.

Answer Key:

The Answer Key comprises correct answers which will help you to grab a rough idea about marks to be obtained in the paper. The answer key will be released within 7 days of exam commencement. Candidates will get an estimate of the marks through the answer key.

Exam Result:

Visit the official website to check the result. Only 6% of the appearing candidates will be declared qualified for the Eligible of Assistant Professor. However, there is a possibility to raise objections against the result. Send the request to the Member Secretary SLET Commission (North EastRegion) to recheck the result. Along with this, send the DD of Rs. 5000/- in favor of Member Secretary, SLET Commission, drawn on SBI, Gauhati University

  • The Pass Certificate is issued after 45 working days from the date of SET result.
  • Original Post-graduation mark sheet /3rd and 4th Semester.
