IIT JAM 2024: Are you willing to appear in IIT JAM 2024 entrance test? If this is so, then JAM registration will start in September and the examination will take place in February 2024. The examination aims to give admission to the students in the courses such as M.Sc. which is offered via IISc and IIT Bangalore. After the entrance gets over, candidates who clear the examination will get admission for the PG programme. JAM 2024 Application Form:

Those who are interested in applying for IIT JAM examination need to fill the application form available from 10th September 2020. Once the release of the application form date appears closer get it soon and fill in all the details soon. Use the official website for filling the form and fill in the details carefully. Ensure for uploading the latest photo and signature.

The process to apply for IIT JAM:

• First of all, move to the official website.
• Hit the Apply Online Link
• Then fill in the important details in the application form and submit
• Once the form is filled, move to the payment section
• Then take a printout of the application form after everything is done. This will help later

IIT JAM 2024 Admission:

• First, check the name in the JAM merit list.
• Then apply online only using the prescribed Admission Form available at the JOAPS website, irrespective of IITs where the admission is sought.
• Enter login credentials obtained at the time of JAM registration to access the JOAPS admission form.
• In the admission form, qualified candidates will have to enter all the programs at IITs, in order of preferences, where the candidate is seeking admission.
• Now, submit the form the candidates are then needed to make the payment of Rs. 600/-
• Review the Admission Lists, which are prepared by the Organizing Institute and announced on the JAM website.
• The admission lists are released before the seats in the respective courses in the IITs are filled in. Three admission lists have been issued.
• If the name of a candidate appears on any of the admission lists, the candidate is told by an offer letter of the same.

Admission Fee:

• Rs. 10000/- for General/OBC-NCL/EWS category candidates
• Rs. 5000/- for SC/ST/PwD category candidates

JAM Eligibility Criteria:

• Those who have done their graduation in Science from some known university can apply for IIT JAM entrance test.
• The candidate who has done graduation via distant studies is also eligible for applying for the examination.
• Those who belong to categories such as OBC and General and must have completed graduation with 55% marks can apply for IIT JAM. Besides this, those who have to belong to the reserved category need to attain at least 50% marks then only he/ she can apply.
• Foreign as well as Indian candidates can apply for the examination.

JAM Application Fee:

• If you are looking for applying for only one paper and belong to OBC and General category can apply for the examination by paying the number of Rs.1500/- and if you are a female belonging to SC, ST, and PWD category can apply by paying Rs.750/-
• If you wish to apply for both the papers and belonging to OBC and General category can apply for the exam by paying Rs.2100/- Candidates from a category such as PWD, ST, SC, and Female need to pay the amount of Rs.1050/-

Exam Pattern:

•  The paper will be asked in the English language only.

Admit Card:

The admit card of JAM has been released on January. In the admit card, candidates get details like exam center, exam date, time, and lots more. Download hall tickets from the official website. Take the printout of the Admit card and bring the printout to the Exam Center with the original ID.

Steps to Download Admit Card:

• Visit the Official website of IIT JAM.
• On the homepage, the link of the Admit card will be available there.
• Then enter the login credentials like Enrolment ID/Email ID and password.
• After submitting the details, the admit card will be displayed in PDF format.
• Download the Admit card and take the printout of it.

Result:

The IIT JAM Result will be announced on March. Candidates will be able to download their IIT JAM result online mode. The candidates can download their scorecards from July.

Steps To check JAM Entrance Exam Result:

• Visit the official website of IIT JAM 2024 i.e,  jam.iisc.ac.in.
• On the home page, search for the JAM Result.
• Then click on the Result link.
• Enter your Email ID and Password.
• Then click on the Submit Button.
• Check the Result.
• Download and take the printout of the Result.

Counselling Process for IIT JAM:

The counseling process for JAM will take place as soon as the result is announced. Those who get into the category of merit list will be applicable to appear for counseling. The counseling process will commence in April every year.
