WBJEE JEEDEC 2023: Joint Entrance Examination for Degree Evening Courses offers admission for the Undergraduate Programs in Electrical/ Mechanical/ Civil Engineering. This Exam is conducted by the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination Board. JEEDEC is state level examination. It will take admissions for Jadavpur University. It is an offline exam. WBJEE JEEDEC 2023 Application Form:
The registration process for the Application form will be begin in the month of June. You can go through the official website and fill the registration with name, email id and contact details. Steps to fill the application form:
- After the registration, you will get the application form online and by login with details, you can start filling it.
- Fill all the details like Name, address, parent’s details, etc.
- Now upload all the required documents in the prescribed format.
- Upload signature and Photographs in the prescribed format.
- These details can be edited before the last date of fees payment.
- Review and correction will take place before the last date of the submission and then finally submit it.
- Pay application fees online.
- Review your application form and then submit it.
Application fee:
Application fees can be paid only online mode through Credit card/Debit Card/ Net Banking. All categories of the candidates have to pay Rs. 500/- as application fee. In any case application fees is nonrefundable.
Eligibility Criteria:
Age Criteria- There is no age limitation in this examination.
Educational Qualification-
- Those who are willing to appear in this examination must have to be passed 10+2 from the recognized West Bengal examination board.
- Candidates must have passed Diploma in Mechanical/Civil/ Electrical Engineering with minimum 60% marks (general category) and 45% marks (SC/ST/OBC/PwD) from recognized University.
- Only Indian candidates can apply for this examination.

Exam Pattern:
There are offline examination OMR sheets will be provided so be precise while filling answer. Use only a blue or black ball pen to fill the OMR sheet.

Exam Syllabus
The Syllabus for the examination is divided into three parts of subjects so according to that candidates have to prepare for the exam.
- Mechanical Engineering- Strength of Materials, Applied Mechanics, Machine Design, Thermodynamics, Fluid Mechanics, Fluid Machines, Thermal Engineering, Mode of Heat and its transfer, Workshop Technology, Working Principle, Material Science, Graphics Engineering, Industrial management, Production Engineering, Operational features of the basic machine tools, cutting tools, press work, Iron- carbon equilibrium diagram-heat treatment of steel, principles of jigs and fixtures, theory of metal cutting, etc.
- Electrical Engineering- Kirchhoff’s laws and Faraday’s Laws, Units of Dimensions, Induction- synchronous Machines, Measuring Instruments, Semiconductor Devices, EMF, AC Circuits, Network Theorem, Electrical and Magnetic Circuits, RMS Value, Transformers, Induction Motors, Series and parallel, Constructions and operations DC generator and motor etc.
- Civil Engineering- Basic of Ecology, Applied Mechanics, Water requirement, General Civil Engineering, Types of foundation, Planning and Construction, Introduction of bricks, Sanitary Engineering, Irrigation, raw material, Roads and Railways, Soil Mechanics etc
Admit Card:
The admit card for the examination will be released before a month of the examination you will get soft copy of the hall ticket through online on the website. By using the applicant number and date of birth as a password you can download. Candidates also have to carry valid identity proof along with the admit card. The examination centre will only take place in Kolkata and Howrah.
Result:
After the examination result will be announced on the same official website. You can check your qualifying status by using the roll number and password. Candidates can download and take printout of the result for future references. Qualified candidates can call for the counseling process.
Answer Key:
Once a result has been displayed the answer key of the question paper also displayed by officials after one week of the examination. Candidates can check and download the answer key by using login credentials. If there is any objection then it can be resolve by the authority and the fresh answer key will be displayed again on the same portal.
Selection Procedure:
After the examination merit list will be prepared on the basis of the total marks scored by the individual in the entrance examination. Candidates must be scored a minimum of 50% of the total marks to qualifying the examination. After reviewing answer sheets the merit list will be prepared and displayed on the official portal of the examination board. Shortlisted candidates call for the counseling process according to the merit list name.
Counseling:
Selected candidates call for the online counseling process conducted by the official authority. Selected candidates can check their counseling schedule at the official website and also it will be done after the month of the exams. The seat you will get on the basis of performance in the examination. Selected candidates get register them for admission after the confirmation. There are two to three rounds of the counseling that take place. After the counseling you will have to submit the required documents to the university and it will be verified by the officials and then you will have to pay admission fees and get admission. At the time of admission, you will have to bring all the original documents with you. Following documents, you will have to carry at the time of counseling
- Bring all the educational mark sheets and passing certificates which are self-attested and also take 5 photographs.
- Also need Domicile certificate who is residing in the West Bengal past 10 years.
