UPSEE Counselling Process

UPSEE Counselling: The Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University carries out the UPSEE examination in September. The result has been released in October and then the counseling has been started in October. From October, the counseling of the exam will begin. The Counselling will start with the registration and the verification of the documents. Here is the comprehensive information about Counselling and its process, rounds, seat allotment provided in detail.

 There will be many rounds of counseling and the procedure for all the rounds will remain as it is. Before attending the counseling, one needs to provide with the formality of registering online via the official website and then get done with the important documents at the various authorized centers. After the verification process and registration, online seat allotment result will be declared and in this process, seat allotment to each candidate announced. Candidates can refuse from accepting the seat or else can even accept it.

UPSEE Counselling:

For document verification and Registration for the main round of Counselling will begin from October. There are 4 rounds of Counseling:

Counselling Different Rounds

Overall there will be five rounds for UPSEE counseling. Details of all these rounds are as follows:

Main Round (Round 1): This round will complete in two phases (1 and 2). According to this round, candidates belonging to all the streams, and those who are holding the rank between 1 to 35000 invited for the allocation of the seats.

Counselling Round for JEE Main and CMAT(Round 2): According to this round, seats will be allocated to JEE Main and CMAT qualifiers

Counselling for SC/ST/OBC Candidates (Round 3): According to this round, counselling will be held for the candidates belonging to SC, ST, and OBC categories, and only 1 to last rank holders invited for the seat allocation

Counselling for SC Candidates (Round 4): According to this round, only the candidates belonging to the SC category holding ranks from 1 to last will be invited for the seat allocation process

An Additional Round of Counselling: The additional round does not take place mandatory because it will only take place if there is some or the other seat availability. In order to participate in this round, candidates are required to register anew. Those who are allocated a seat in the additional round need to give up their earlier allotted seat. On the contrary, if the seat is not allocated in this round but allocated earlier then the seat which is allocated in the earlier round will soon be retained.

Counselling Procedure:

1. Registration and Document Verification: In this step, the candidate needs to register the submitted demand draft of Rs.1000/- at the document verification center. The registration amount paid via DD in the favor of Finance Officer, Uttar Pradesh Technical University, Lucknow”, payable at Lucknow. Including this, carry all the required documents for cross-checking. After checking the documents, candidates will turn eligible for entry.

List of Required Documents:

• Admit Card JEE Main / of UPSEE (whichever needed)
• Mark sheet of class XII and X
• Carry Character certificate, issued by the institute which is attended previously
• Medical Fitness Certificate issued by the competent authority
• Domicile certificate
• Category certificate for the candidates belonging to OBC or SC or ST. Subcategory certificate (for the candidates belonging to Freedom fighters, Armed forces, or Physically handicapped category
• Income certificate (applicable only for EWS section only), GDDA category certificate (if applicable), and Rural Weightage certificate (if applicable)

2. Online Choice Filling: In each round of the UPSEE counseling, candidates will be asked for filling the choices for the desired colleges and courses. It can be done online. In order to do this, open a portal, an official website, a get done with the submission of the choices.
3. Seat Allotment Result: As per the given choices, and as per the rank in UPSEE/JEE Main, seats will be quickly allocated to the candidates. The seat allotment outcome will be released shortly on the official website. One can easily check by accessing their UPSEE counseling log-in.
4. Seat Confirmation: For the last step, candidates are required to make a payment of Rs.15000, as the confirmation fee. Make the payment of this amount via online mode. Make sure to confirm the allocation seat within the provided time duration otherwise allotment will lead to cancellation.
