• Conversion certificate from CGPA/OGPA/Letter Grade to the percentage of marks, if applicable, from concerned University/Institute

Eligibility Criteria for IOCL Apprentice:

• Trade Apprentice – Attendant Operator (Chemical Plant) Chemical: 3 years B.Sc. with subjects such as Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry/Industrial Chemistry.
• Trade Apprentice (Fitter) Discipline – Mechanical: Candidate must have done Matric with 2 years ITI (Fitter) course
• Trade Apprentice (Boiler) Discipline – Mechanical: Applicant must have completed B.Sc. with subjects such as Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry/Industrial Chemistry
• Technician Apprentice Discipline – Chemical: Applicant must have done 3 years Diploma in Chemical Engg./Refinery & Petro-Chemical Engg
• Technician Apprentice Discipline – Mechanical: The minimum qualification is 3 years Diploma in Mechanical Engg.
• Technician Apprentice Discipline – Electrical: Aspirant must have completed 3 years Diploma in Electrical Engg.
• Technician Apprentice Discipline Instrumentation: To apply, applicant must have completed 3 years Diploma in Instrumentation/ /Instrumentation & Electronics / Instrumentation & Control Engg.
• Trade Apprentice Secretarial Assistant: Candidate must have completed 3 years B.A./B.Sc/B.Com
• Trade Apprentice-Accountant: To apply for the course, the minimum qualification is B.Com
• Trade Apprentice Data Entry Operator (Fresher Apprentices) – It requires Class XII as the minimum qualification
• Trade Apprentice Data Entry Operator (Skill Certificate Holders) – Applicant must have done Class XII with Skill Certificate holder in ‘Domestic Data Entry Operator’

Selection Process:

Here is the selection process:

• Candidates will be selected on the basis of performance of their marks attained in the Written Test (2 hours) and eligibility criteria.
• In case of a tie, the date of birth (senior by age) will be considered to place the candidate’s rank in the merit list.
• Call letters for Written Test will be issued to the eligible candidates on the basis of the details mentioned in the online application.
• Those who are applying for Apprenticeship at Guwahati Refinery, Barauni Refinery, Gujarat Refinery, Digboi Refinery and Bongaigaon Refinery, Written Test will be commenced at the Refinery Unit. Applicants applying for Apprenticeship at Haldia Refinery, Mathura Refinery, Panipat Refinery & Petrochemical Complex (PRPC) and Paradip Refinery, Written Test will be commenced at Kolkata, Delhi (for Mathura Refinery & PRPC) and Bhubaneswar respectively. However, the exact location and venue details will be informed via Admit Card.
• Written Test will be consisted of Objective Type Multiple Choice Questions.
• Those who have secured at least 40% marks in Written Test will qualify for the selection process. The minimum qualifying marks should be 35% for candidates belonging to SC/ST/PwBD categories under reserved category positions.

The minimum salary payable to Technician and Technician (Vocational) Apprentices is mentioned below:

• Technician Apprentices : Rs.3542/-per month
