AFCAT 2024: Air force common admission test (AFCAT) is a written test conducted by the Air Force twice a year. AFCAT can give wings to the dream of candidates who wish to make their career in the Air Force. This entrance exam is for candidates who are graduated. They can apply for as commissioned officers in flying, ground duty (technical), ground duty (non-technical). The examination is conducted twice a year in February and August by the Indian air force. The interested candidates can apply for AFCAT 2024 before the last date. The applying candidate must ensure that they are eligible to apply for it. AFCAT 2024 Application Form:

The application form for AFCAT will be available twice a year. AFCAT I application form has been released on 1st December and the examination will be held in February. AFCAT II application form will be released by June and the examination will be held in October. The interested candidates who want to touch the sky can register themselves through the official website of an Indian air force. The applying candidate must prepare themselves for physical and mental fitness as well as their academics.

Steps To Fill AFCAT-I 2024 Application Form:

• Open the official website of AFCAT: www.afcat.cdac.in
• Click on notifications and read carefully.
• After that click on the notification and fill the application form.
• First, the candidate will have to register themselves by filling details like email-id, mobile no. etc.
• Submit the registration form.
• After that, a new registration id and password will be sent to the candidate through mail and text message on mobile.
• Login using the new registration id and password.
• Fill the further details asked in the application form.
• Upload the scanned documents like signature and passport size pictures.
• Pay the application fee.
• Submit your application form.
• Take out the printout of the application form.

Eligibility Criteria:

The candidate fulfilling the criteria must only apply for the examination.

Nationality: The candidate should be a citizen of India

Flying branch:

• The candidate must have done graduation with the aggregate of 60% in any discipline with physics and mathematics in 10+2 level or BE / B Tech degree (Four-year course) from a recognized University.
• The age of the candidate should be not more than 23 years.

Technical branch (ground duty):

• The candidate must have done a four-year graduation course in engineering/technology.
• Must obtain 60% marks in Section A & B examination of the Aeronautical Society of India or Associate Membership of Institute Engineers (India).
• The age of the candidate must be between 18-28 years.

Non-technical (Ground duty):

• The candidate must have done graduation in any discipline with 60% marks and in section A and B examination of aeronautical society India or Associate Membership of Institute Engineers (India).
• The age of the candidate must be between 20-23 years.

The candidates applying for the examination must be physically and mentally fit. Physically challenged candidates do not apply to the examination.

Application Fees Details:

The application fees can be submitted online mode by debit card, credit card, net banking, etc. the application fee is Rs. 250 for all the candidates of all categories.

Selection Process:

All the candidates need to know the exam pattern before applying for the form. The candidates need to first give the entrance exam after that if the candidate successfully qualifies the exam then they would be called for an SSB interview.

• The candidates who scored above the cut-off will be shortlisted.
• stage 1: The candidates will have to then face the screening test in stage 1
• The screening test will include the officer intelligence rating test and Picture Perception and Discussion Test.
• The can qualifying stage 1 will be called for stage 2.
• Stage 2 will include Psychological Test, Group Test to check interactive ability, personal conversation with Interviewing Officer.
• This whole process is for 5 days.
• Then the candidates who qualified will have to undergo the medical examination.
• At the end of the process, the merit list will be prepared.

Exam Pattern:

• The Exam will be conducted through online mode.
• There will be 100 questions of 300 marks.
• The duration of the exam will be 2 hours.
• 3 marks will be given for every correct answer and 1 mark will be subtracted for every incorrect answer.
• Sections in the exam: General Awareness, Verbal Ability in English, Numerical Ability and Reasoning and Military Aptitude Test

Exam Pattern EKT (only for technical):

• The Exam will be conducted through online mode.
• There will be 50 questions of 150 marks.
• The duration of the exam will be 45 minutes.
• 3 marks will be given for every correct answer and 1 mark will be subtracted for every incorrect answer.

• Reasoning & Military Aptitude- Verbal Skills and Spatial Ability

Admit Card:

The admit card will be made available on the official website 7-10 days before the examination. The admit card won’t be sent through the post. The candidates read the guidelines before downloading the admit card. The admit card will get downloaded using the application number and password/date of birth. The hard copy of the admit card needs to be carried by the candidate to the examination hall along with some ID proof. The candidate without admit card will not be allowed to attend the exam. Keep the admit card safe for future reference.

Steps To Download AFCAT-I Admit Card 2024:

• Visit the official website of the Indian Air Force i.e, afcat.cdac.in.
• On the homepage, click on the Candidate Login.
• Then Enter your Email ID & Password and click on Login.
• Download the Air Force Common Admission Admit Card 2024.
• Take the printout and keep it safe to enter the exam.

Result:

The result would be declared on the official website. The exam conducting authority will release the result as well. Visit the official website of AFCAT to check the result which will decide your future. To check the result the candidates need to enter their registration id and password. The candidates qualifying the examination will be called for the SSB process.
