AMIE 2024: AMIE (Associate Member of the Institution of Engineers) is conducted by The Institution of Engineers India (IEI) for its associate membership. The Institution of Engineers is the largest multidisciplinary body of engineers in the country that prepares the syllabus, conducts examinations and issues certificates, etc. of AMIE. AMIE is an examination for an engineering degree course that is recognized by all State Governments, Central Govt., and UPSC, etc as equivalent to B.E/B.Tech. It is conducted twice a year. Candidates who complete AMIE will get opportunities for jobs as well as higher education, just like a B.E or B.Tech holder. Those candidates who wish to apply for the examination must fill the form in the prescribed format. A candidate is said to be a qualified graduate engineer and passed A.M.I.E examination when he/she clears all subjects in both sections A and B. Procedure Offline Application
- First Get the Application Form by downloading it from the website.
- Fill up details of the form
- Draw DD for exam fees. The DD must be drawn in favor of “The Institution of Engineers (India)” payable at Kolkata.
- Don’t forget to enter correct DD details in the form, various exam-related codes.
- Choose your preferred examination center and note down the code number of that center
- Attach the Xerox copy of the documents asked.

Procedure of Online AMIE 2024 Application:
- The candidates will have to visit the official website to able to fill the application i.e. Official website: www.ieindia.org
- Candidates will have to fill the details in the application form
- First, read the instructions mentioned on the website.
- Fill the personal information like DOB, Domicile info, the address, father’s information, Educational information, course selection, center preference, and more.
- Submit the details.
- Candidates then have to pay the application fee accordingly.
- Once the payment is done applicants also have to print the receipt for reference.
- Also, keep a print of the filled application form with you.
AMIE Exam 2024 Eligibility:
The Eligibility Criteria for this course has 2 options-
- Candidate must be holding a 3-year Polytechnic Diploma in any of the branches of engineering that can pursue this course.
- Candidate must have passed 12th with Mathematics, physics, and chemistry with minimum marks of 45% is also eligible for this course.
- There is no age restriction.
Application Fee:
The application fee for AMIE Examination is Rs 3000/- for appearing in any centers in India, and 225 USD, outside India. The examination fee is the same irrespective of the number of subjects you appear at a time/chance.

AMIE Section A Examination:
Common for all those who aspire to become engineers by acquiring an AMIE (I). Basic Sciences, Engineering Sciences, and Communication are covered to prepare the candidate, after project work, to move on to Section B by choosing a particular discipline from among the streams offered.
AMIE Section B Examination:
After Section A, the student has to complete project work for one year and only based on a satisfactory professional competence report, he/she will be admitted to appear for the Section B examination consisting of 10 papers of which 7 are compulsory and 3 optional.
AMIE Exam 2024 Exam Pattern:
The Exam Pattern of AMIE Exam 2024 is as follows:
- The examination is conducted twice a year in June and December.
- The examination will be conducted on Offline Mode (Pen Paper-based).
- There will be 50 questions in each section.
- The duration of the exam is 3 hours.
Admit Card:
The Admit Card is a mandatory document to carry to the examination hall. Admit card will not be sent to any candidate’s address. It will be released by the conducting authority a few days before the examination. Students can download it from the website and get the print out of the same. Admit card will have details of candidates like name, father name, roll number, date of the exam, time of the exam, exam duration, examination center, etc. candidates need to re\ach the examination hall on time.
AMIE Exam Results:
