AGMC 2024: Agartala Government Medical College, Agartala offers two different medical course programmes. MBBS for the UG course and the MD/MS course for the PG courses. For the UG courses, a local candidate may approach the office of the Joint Entrance Examination Board, Agartala, or apply online from the website. For the PG entrance examination, a candidate must download the AGMC 2024 application form from the website.
AGMC 2024 Application Form:
Application forms can be obtained from the Tripura Board of Joint Entrance Examination in person. Or, a candidate can download the online application available from January 2024. The applicant must be at least 17 years of age as on 31st December of the corresponding year. The application form must be duly filled in capital letters without any errors and signed at appropriate pages. Three color photos posted in the application form must be duly attested. Choice of the group must be clearly mentioned as Group B.
Document list to be Enclosed with the filled Application Form Includes:
- Self-attested copy of proof of age such as admit card for Madhyamik examination, birth certificate, or school leaving certificate.
- Self-attested copy of enrolment certificate for Higher Secondary or +2, or any equivalent certificate of proof from the appropriate institute, which mentions the list of subjects that appeared and cleared during H.S or +2.
- Self-attested copy of mark sheet for the higher secondary or any equivalent examination cleared by the candidate.
- Self-attested copies of any clauses or caste or quota certificates as applicable.
- A copy of the board’s challan.
- Examination fee applicable is different for each category.
- For the unreserved or the OR category, the fee is Rs. 350.
- Concession based upon caste and tribe is applicable when the candidate submits copies of attested documents proving the same.
All the enclosures, the application form, e-challan for examination fee, and application fee in cash if necessary, must be sealed in an envelope and submitted to the office of Tripura Board of Joint Entrance Examination in person or by post, with a clear mention of examination name and group applied for, before the last date mentioned in February 2024. When sending the application form by post, a candidate must make sure that he/she posts it ten days prior to the last date mentioned in February 2024.
AGMC MBBS 2024 Examinations for the PG Courses:
AGMC conducts a PG Common Entrance Test or the Tripura Post Graduate Medical Admission Test ( TPGMAT) during the month of February, for admission into MD/MS courses. Applications for appearing to PGCET/TPGMAT examination are invited during the month of January.
AGMC 2024 Exam Date:
The examination for candidates desirous of registering for MD/MS courses in the AGMC is usually held during the month of February 2024.
Application form for PG MD CET/TPGMAT examination – The application forms are available online. The candidate must download the form and take a printout. This application form must be duly filled with accurate details before signing. A crossed Banker’s Check/Demand draft for Rs. 2500 in favor of, ”The Director, Medical Education, Government of Tripura” must be obtained. Along with the application form, the crossed DD, the following attested copy of the documents must be sealed in an envelope.
- Provisional passing certificate or the MBBS degree certificate.
- Certificate indicating the completion of a rotating internship authenticated by the head of the institute.
- EPIC or passport page copies with photograph and address or pan card.
- Documents supporting a clause.
Candidates applying for the TPGMAT must finish their rotating internship by March 2024, otherwise, he/she is not eligible for admission. Admission to the PG medical courses will proceed unhampered if the candidate gets himself/herself registered with the Tripura Medical Council. Candidates who are registered with another state medical council must register with Tripura Medical Council within six months of joining the institute.

AGMC 2024 Syllabus:
After filling the application form, applicants must start the exam preparation. However, exam can be prepared if applicant is possessed with the apt syllabus info. Those who are appearing for the medical entrance test can choose the Group B category in the application form. The syllabus will be released on the official website soon after the application forms are filled. The exam will be commended for two days which covers four subjects.
MBBS Course at AGMC 2024:
Candidates aiming to join the MBBS course at the Agartala Government Medical College, Agartala should appear for a Joint Entrance examination conducted by the Tripura Board of Joint Entrance Examination. A total number of 100 MBBS seats are available in this college, out of which 75 are reserved for applicants belonging to the state of Tripura. 15 seats are available for all-India candidates, and ten seats are reserved for eligible candidates from Arunachal Pradesh, Meghalaya, Mizoram, and Nagaland.

AGMC Syllabus:
The application forms are available from December 2024. The examination is usually held during April 2024. Candidates appearing for the medical entrance examination will want to choose the Group B category on the application form. The syllabus for the examination if updated is uploaded on the website as soon as the application forms are made available.
The examination is conducted for a span of two days covering all four subjects. Examination for Physics and Chemistry subjects is conducted on the same day in the morning and afternoon, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM and 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM. The next day, the Mathematics examination is held from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM and the Biology examination is conducted in the afternoon from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM.
