Application Fee:

For PGAT -1 courses:

  • General and OBC category: Rs 800
  • SC/ ST/ PH: Rs. 400

For PGAT -2 courses:

  • General and OBC category:  Rs. 1600
  • SC/ ST/ PH: Rs. 800

Eligibility Criteria:

It is very important for candidates to check the eligibility criteria before applying for the course:

  • Subject Candidates: For all the courses mentioned in List I to IV need to remember that Applications can be made only for those subjects with whom a candidate has appeared/passed Graduate in any stream, Third Year Examination/Equivalent Examination. The candidate is not permitted to appear in any exam in which he/she has not appeared/passed at any stream of Graduation at the Third Year.
  • Non-Subject Candidates: The students who wish to seek admission in a subject in which they have not appeared/passed at Graduate in the Final Year in any stream have an option to select any one of the following subjects (a) Hindi (b) English (c) Medieval & Modern History (d) Ancient history (e) Political Science (f) Philosophy (g) Education indicate it at the proper place in the form.
  • For subjects mentioned in List – V: Each student will have to apply using a separate Form. Make sure to check the eligibility conditions of each course. There is no limit to the number of Application Forms to apply.

Course wise eligibility criteria:

  • Candidate must be possessed with the degree of Graduation.
  • For M.Sc., candidates must have passed B.Sc. with subjects such as Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science/Computer Application.
  • For M.Com. students should have studied B.Com, B.Sc, or B.Sc. (honors) degree.
  • For MA in Mass Communication, the candidate must be a graduate.
  • For MFA, candidates must have a BFA degree in Applied Arts, Sculpture, Textile Design, Graphics and Painting with the specialized area with 50% aggregate.
  • For MA in Film Theater, the candidate must be a graduate.
  • For M.Sc. (Textile and Apparel Designing), the candidate must hold a B.Sc, BA, B.Sc (Home Science) degree from some recognized college.
  • For LLM, the candidate must have done graduation in Law from any recognized university securing 50% marks.
  • For M.Ed, the candidate must be possessed with a B.Ed degree from any recognized university college with at least 50% marks.
  • For MBA – RD, the applicant must have completed graduation from any recognized college or university. Final year appearing students can also apply.

Reservation Criteria:

Candidates can check the reservation criteria for each category mentioned below:

  • SC: 15%
  • SC: 7.5%
  • OBC: 27%
  • EWS: 25%

Exam Pattern:

  • The question paper will be consisted of 300 marks.
  • For M.A and M.Sc programs, the exam time duration will be 3 hours. Combined question booklets will also be there for these programs.
  • For programs such as M.Com, M.A/M.Sc in Anthropology, M.Sc in Biochemistry, M.Sc in Agriculture Science, M.Sc in Computer Science and M.A in Mass Communication, the time duration will be 2 hours.
  • There will be150 objective-type questions in the paper.
  • Mode of Examination PGAT 1- Online & PGAT 2- Online

The Marking Scheme:

The marking scheme of Allahabad University PGAT 2022 is very simple. The exam will be of 300 marks and150 questions will be asked in the exam. For every correct answer, candidates will receive 2 marks and a deduction of 0.5 marks on every incorrect answer.

Admit Card:

The admit card to appear in the examination will be released through the official website. Download the admit card by entering the application ID and date of birth. Make sure to enter the date of birth correctly in order to seek the admit card/hall ticket. Admit cards will be uploaded a week prior to the examination. Being the most important document, ensure to carry it along to the exam canter along with a valid photo Id Government proof.

Exam Result:

The examination result will be announced a few days after the exam gets over. The result will be prepared on the basis of marks acquired in written and practical exams. Candidates are required to clear the practical exams as well. The result will be declared in the form of scorecard. Download the score from the respective logins. The merit list will be created on the basis of marks scored and after that counseling round will be commenced.
