Annamalai University Admission 2023: Directorate of Distance Education, Annamalai University was the first institution in India to offer postgraduate degree programs in Applied Psychology, Physics, Chemistry, Zoology, Botany, Bioinformatics and Law through distance education. • For UG courses seats will be allotted on the basis of marks obtained in 10+2.
• Admission to all PG courses is done on the basis of marks obtained in the entrance exam which is conducted by the University except M.Sc/MA/M.Com.
• For MA, M.Sc., M.Com., Admission is given on the basis of marks obtained in Graduation.
• For M.Phi. and Ph.D., Admission will be done through written tests and interviews conducted by the University.
• For admission to BPEd and MPEd, candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of qualifying degree merit, sports skills, and written tests.
• In the case of B.Ed and M.Ed, admissions shall be done on the basis of the marks secured in the qualifying UG/PG Degree examination.

The university offers B.Ed and M.Ed program through the Department of Education, one of the four departments under the Faculty of Education at Annamalai University.

Both the programs have a duration of two academic years.

1. Ed is conducted in two languages – English and Tamil whereas the medium of instruction for the M.Ed course is only English.

 Candidates will be shortlisted for admission to B.Ed on the basis of marks scored in qualifying UG/ PG degrees. In the case of M.Ed, seats shall be filled on the basis of qualifying examination merit and through a selection test and an Interview to be conducted by the University.

Annamalai University Admission 2023 Application Form:

• Log on to the official registration portal of Annamalai University.
• Click on the “New Applicant” link for the desired course.
• Enter the details of the qualifying exam (10th or 12th or Diploma)- Register Number, Month and year.
• Enter the details such as Name, Date of Birth, Mobile Number, Aadhaar Number, Nativity, Community, E-Mail ID, Password and submit the form.
• Upon registration, candidates should use the username and password to login through the REGISTERED APPLICANT link.
• Next, enter all the personal details and educational details that are self-explanatory and submit them.
• Then, a candidate should upload a photo of (Width:150 and Height:150). The file should be in.JPEG format (JPG, JPEG, JPE, GIF).
• Candidates can verify the details by clicking the “Click to verify Application” button. Candidates will get a preview of the application in PDF form.
• Upon confirming the entries, click the “Submit for Payment” button to make your payment for the application.
• Submit the prescribed fee online through the payment gateway.

• Those seeking admission can submit their applications through online mode from the official Annamalai University website.
• In the case of M.Ed, candidates should attach a demand draft of INR 1000 (INR 500 for SC/ST candidates) drawn in favour of The Registrar, Annamalai University, payable at Chennai.
• Seat reservation and scholarship are also provided by the university as per the rules prescribed by the Govt. of Tamil Nadu.

In the case of BA B.Ed., 200 candidates will be selected on the basis of merit who score at least 50% marks in the selection test. Admission shall be made on the basis of ranking for a total of 150 marks distributed as follows:

• Qualifying Examination – 20 marks
• Sports and Games Participation – 25 marks
• Games and Sports skill test – 50 marks
• Track and Field Skill test – 50 marks
