AP B.Sc Nursing 2023 Eligibility Criteria:

Before you make up your mind to apply for Andhra Pradesh B.Sc Nursing 2023, candidates must check the eligibility criteria given below:

Andhra Pradesh B.Sc Nursing (Four-Year):

  • The applicant must have successfully completed higher secondary education in the regular mode.
  • Candidate must have completed class XII from any of the boards amongst ICSE, CBSE, AISSCE, SSCE, NIOS, HSCE, and APOSS, any State Board or any other equivalent.
  • The student must have successfully completed class XII in the Science stream with mandatory subjects such as Physics, Biology, Chemistry, and English.
  • The minimum age of the candidate should be 17 years on the 31st of December (the year in which the admission is seeking)
  • The aggregate marks attained by the candidate in all the Science subjects of class 12th must be 45% (general or unreserved category)
  • The candidates belonging to the reserved categories such as SC, ST, and OBC are given a relaxation of 5%. Thus, these applicants must have acquired a minimum of 40 % marks in the Science subjects.
  • The students must be medically fit to apply.
  • Applicants must assure that 85 percent of the total B.Sc nursing seats in the colleges of Andhra Pradesh are reserved for the domicile of the state. Hence, the candidates from other states who are applying for admission will get to avail only 15% of the total B.Sc nursing seats in Andhra Pradesh.

Post Basic B.Sc Nursing Eligibility Criteria:

  • The applicant must be of Indian Nationals, Persons of Indian origin (P.I.O), or Foreign Nationals or Overseas citizens of India (OCI) cardholders. Applicants belonging to these categories of OCI cardholders, P.I.O., and Foreign Nationals need to submit No Objection Certificates issued from the Nursing Council of India to seek admission into the Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing course in Andhra Pradesh.
  • Candidate must have successfully completed class XII from the school of a recognised board or must have completed any equivalent examination recognised by at least one of the following: the universities of Andhra Pradesh, APOSS (Andhra Pradesh Open School Society), NIOS (National Institute of Open Schooling), as per the regulations of the Indian Nursing Council.
  • Both male and female candidates may apply for Post Basic B.Sc Nursing.
  • The candidate must have completed General Nursing and Midwifery from an institution that has gained recognition by the Government of Andhra Pradesh or by the Nursing Council of India. The candidate will be registered with the State Nursing Council.
  • Those who have studied a 1.5-year course of MPHW (Multi-Purpose Health Worker) are not considered eligible for the P.B.B.Sc course.
  • The Government Service applicants who seek admission to the programme must have successfully completed 2 years of service as a staff nurse in the Medical and Health Department and the Andhra Pradesh Vaidya Vidhana Parishad as of the 31st of August of the year in which the admission is sought. They must be regular employees and must have a service certificate issued by the respective employer proving that candidate worked as a staff nurse.
  • The minimum age of the applicant must 17 years and maximum 45 years as on 31st of December (the year he/she is applying for admission). However, SC/ST applicants will get an age relaxation of three years.
  • All applicants must note that 85 percent of the total Post Basic B.Sc nursing seats in the colleges of Andhra Pradesh are reserved for those who are the domicile of the state. Hence, the candidates from other states who are applying for admission will get to avail themselves only 15 % of the total Post Basic B.Sc nursing seats in Andhra Pradesh.
