Eligibility Criteria:

Name of the Post Eligibility Criteria
School Assistants (Non-Languages)
  • For School Assistants’ posts, the candidates must have cleared Paper-II (A) in the AP TET examination.
  • The candidates must have a Bachelor’s Degree (B.A/ B.com/ B.Sc/ BBA etc) and B.Ed with 45% – 50% of marks.
School Assistants (Languages)
  • For School Assistants – Languages posts, the candidate must have cleared Paper-IIII or Paper – III in the AP TET examination.
  • The candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree in B.A Telugu, Hindi, English Literature or regular B.A/ B.Sc/ B.Com/ BBA courses and B.Ed with any language such as Telugu, Hindi, or English are eligible for SA Languages posts.
Post Graduate Teacher Posts (PGT)
  • Post Graduate Teachers are eligible to teach for Intermediate – Class 11 & 12.
  • These aspirants must have a Master’s degree and B.Ed in the relevant subject with 45% – 50% of marks.
  • Qualifying TET is not mandatory for these posts.
Language Pandits
  • These candidates must have cleared Paper – I or Paper – II or Paper – III in AP TET examination.
  • These candidates must have the Language Pandit course to be eligible for Language Pandit posts.
  • Candidates with Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in relevant languages are eligible for Language Pandits course.
Secondary Grade Teacher (SGT)
  • Diploma in Elementary Education (D.EI.Ed)/ Bachelor of Education (B.Ed)/ Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.EI.Ed) is mandatory to be eligible for SGT posts.
  • TET cum TRT will be conducted for these posts.
PET (Physical Education Trainers)
  • B.P.Ed or M.P.Ed is mandatory to be eligible for this post.
  • The candidates must have cleared AP TET to be eligible for AP TRT.

Selection Process:

  • Secondary Grade Teachers (SGTs) – Selection process consisting of a written test (TET-cum-TRT) of 100 marks subject to scoring minimum prescribed marks category wise or qualified in previous TET. Minimum marks are as below
    • SC/ST – 40% & above
    • BC – 50% & above
    • General – 60% & above
    • PH and Ex-servicemen – 40% & above
  • Craft and Art & Drawing teachers – Selection process consisting of a written test (TRT) only of 100 marks.
  • Music instructors – Selection process comprising of a composed test (TRT) of 70 imprints and Skill trial of 30 imprints. In this way, all out imprints will be 100.
  • Physical Education Teachers (PETs) and School Assistant (Physical Education) – Selection process comprising of a composed test (TRT) of 50 imprints and Physical Efficiency Test of 30 imprints and 20 imprints (20%) weightage will be given to APTET scores. Along these lines, complete imprints will be 100.
  • School Assistants (SAs) and Language Pandits (LPs) – Selection process comprising of a composed test (TRT) of 80 imprints and 20 imprints (20%) weightage will be given to APTET scores.
