APPSC Recruitment 2022: APPSC stand for The Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission was established in the year 1956. Previously, it was popular with the name Andhra Service Commission (established in the year 1953) which was based entirely on the regulations of Madras Public Service Commission. However, in 1956, APPSC was formed by joining together Andhra Public Service Commission and Hyderabad Public Service Commissions. APPSC Recruitment 2022 – Exam Stages:
- Prelims Exam: This will be an offline examination commenced in 13 districts of Andhra Pradesh. Those who clear this exam successfully will get a chance to move onto the Main Exam.
- Main Exam: This Exam will be commenced in offline mode. Marks acquired in Main Exam will help in creating the final merit list.
- Interview: After the Main Exam, Interview will be commenced and for the candidate needs to visit the commission’s office in Vijayawada. Make sure to carry given below original documents:

- Date of Birth
- Category certificates issued by the competent authority
- Age Relaxation Claimed
- Professional Experience
The commission’s officers will verify the original certificates and will take a copy of all the certificates for fulfilling the purpose. After the Interview, the final result will be announced.

- First go to the official website of APPSC
- Before applying for the examination, complete the One-Time-Profile-Registration (OTPR)
- Then click on OTPR link mentioned on Homepage
- Click on New Registration for Direct Recruitment
- Enter the following information:

- Photo and Signature Upload
- Check the information carefully and click on ‘Submit’.
- Once the application form is submitted, the OTPR Reference Id will be generated and provided on screen
- After seeking the Reference Id, log in.
- Click on the “Online Application Submission” available towards the corner of the APPSC homepage
- Click on the payment link
- Check the details
- Submit the application form and get done with the payment.
- The payment reference Id will be generated
- Fill the application form (Most of the details will be filled from the OTPR data).
- Select the exam centre, post preference, etc.
- Submit the form and save/print the application receipt.
- Make use of the application receipt for further reference.

Eligibility Criteria:
- Candidate must be a citizen of India.
- For District Fire Officers in A.P. Fire Service, candidates must be possessed with a degree in Engineering (Fire) of any University recognized by the University Grants Commission or any other equivalent qualifications. In case, if no candidates with B.E (Fire) qualifications available, candidates with the Degree in any discipline will be considered.
- For Asst. Treasury Officer/Asst. Accounts Officer in A.P. Treasury & Accounts Service, the candidate must have done Commerce or Economics or Mathematics of a University Recognised by the UGC with at least a 2nd class in the subject, or A Chartered Accountants of the United Kingdom or India or an incorporated Accountant (London).
- For District Social Welfare Officer in A.P. Social Welfare Service, candidates must be possessed with the degree of graduation of any University in India established or incorporated by or under a Central Act or a State Act or provincial Act or an institution recognized by the University Grants Commission. Preference will be given to persons possessing a degree in Sociology or Social work.
- Candidate’s minimum age limit should be 18 years and maximum age limit should be 42 years
- Candidate’s from SC, ST and Backward Classes will get age relaxation of 5 years, Physically and handicapped persons will get age relaxation of 10 years, Ex-Servicemen will get for 3 years, and A.P. State Government Employee will get age relaxation of 5 Years.

Prelims Syllabus: There will be four sections:

- Constitution polity, Social Justice and International relations will be for 30 marks

The number of questions will be 120 for 120 marks.
Paper –II – General Aptitude: This paper consists of 2 parts – A and B each part carries 60 Marks

- Current events of Regional, National & International importance
There will be 120 questions for 120 marks. One-third marks will be deducted for every incorrect answer.
Exam Pattern–Main Exam
- Telugu (Qualifying Only) for 150 marks to be completed in 180 minutes
- English (Qualifying Only) for 150 marks to be completed in 180 minutes
- Paper – I General Essay – on contemporary themes & issues of regional, national & international importance for 150 marks to be completed in 180 minutes
- Paper-II – History and Cultural and Geography of India and Andhra Pradesh for 150 marks to be completed in 180 minutes
- Paper –III – Polity, constitution, Governance, Law and Ethics for 150 marks to be completed in 180 minutes
- Paper –IV – Economy and Development of India and Andhra Pradesh for 150 marks to be completed in 180 minutes
- Paper –V – Science, Technology and Environmental Issues for 150 marks to be completed in 180 minutes
- The interview will be 75 marks.
Exam Pattern for Interview:
Those who successfully clear the Main Exam will be called for Interview. Candidates will ask questions based on their academic background, their city of residence or city of education, current events, and issues related to Andhra Pradesh.
