ASRB NET 2024: ASRB stands for Agricultural Scientists Research Board is a well-known name that aims at selecting eligible applicants to various reputed posts. The research services of the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR), an organization under the Department of Agricultural Research and Education (DARE) under the Government of India. Eligibility Criteria:

Candidates are requested to check the eligibility criteria before applying for the examination:

  • Candidate must have acquired with the degree of post-graduation in the concerned subject from some recognized University or Board
  • The minimum age limit is 21 years
  • Candidate must be a citizen of India, Nepal or Bhutan;
  • Citizens having of Tibetan or East African origin must be eligible after a certificate of eligibility is issued in their name by the Government of India.

ASRB NET 2024 Application Form:

Check the steps to apply for ASRB NET 2024:

  • Candidate must go to the official website asrb.org.in
  • Then click on NET 2024.
  • Enter the Registration details and proceed to login.
  • Fill the application form and submit the application fee.
  • Keep the application form and fee receipt safe for further reference.

Application Fee:

After filling the application form, pay the application fee.

  • Unreserved Category – 1000 INR
  • Other Backward classes (OBC) – 500 INR
  • SC/ST- 250 INR

Exam Centres:

Candidates must fill in at least exam centres while filling the application form. Given below are some of the exam centres:

Vadodara, Bengaluru, Barapani, Shillong, Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal, Madhya Pradesh, Odisha, Chandigarh, Chennai, Uttarakhand, Delhi, Assam, Telangana, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Jammu and Kashmir, Haryana and many more.

Exam Pattern:

Prelims:

  • The exam will be conducted in the online mode.
  • The duration of the exam is 120 minutes.
  • Paper will be consisted of objective or multiple-choice questions (MCQs)
  • Paper will appear in Hindi and English
  • Paper will be consisted of 150 questions.
  • Candidate will get 1 mark for every correct answer and there will be a deduction of 1/3 marks for every incorrect answer.

Mains:

  • The Mains paper will be consisted of 240 marks
  • Exam will be for 180 minutes.
  • Paper will be divided into 3 parts A, B and C.
  • Part A will consist of 40 questions for 2 marks each.
  • Part B shall consist of 20 questions for 5 marks each (requiring one or two paragraphs or graphical representation)
  • Part C shall consist of 6 essay-type or descriptive questions for10 marks each, having more than one part

Selection Process:

  • Those who successfully attain the cut off marks will avail the post of assistant professor/ lecturer in various agricultural universities.
  • Next will be the official counseling round
  • Candidates will then move to their respective centers with their original documents for the purpose of verification.
  • Also carry the photocopy of the original documents.

Admit Card:

Those who have successfully submitted the application form and paid the fee will avail of the admit card. Download the admit card from the official website. Candidates are requested to keep a copy of the admit card for carrying it to the examination centre.

  • The admit card will be released at least 15 days prior to the examination.
  • It will be released via the official website.
  • Carrying the admit card is compulsory for all the applicants.
  • Candidates are required to carry the hall ticket/admit card with themselves to the examination centres.
  • It is necessary to also carry a valid ID proof along with the admit card.

Exam Results:

Check the result through online portal. Just use your login credentials and result will appear on screen.
