- Those who are appearing in the qualifying examination as undergraduate or post-graduate may apply for the exam.
- Those who have acquired a minimum of 50% marks in the Graduation or Post Graduation level Examination may also apply for the exam.
- Those who attain the 49.99 % will ineligible to apply.
- Reserved category candidates such as Backward Class, Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe must have attained 45% marks in their Graduation or Post Graduation level Examination may also apply for the exam.

Age Limit:
Candidates with undergraduate and post-graduate courses must not be above 23 and 28 years respectively as of July 2023. Reserved category candidates will get an age relaxation of three years.
Counseling:
- Those who successfully clear the exam will be called for counseling.
- Counseling will be based on marks attained in BU B.Ed Exam.
- Candidates need to report to take in B.Ed course after the seat allotment.
- The seat may get canceled if they fail to report on the given date and time.
