BHU LLB 2023 Application Form:

  • The BHU Law 2023 Application Forms for the entrance examination for law courses are available on the official website of BHU.
  • Applicants are required to click on the BHU UET / BHU PET link which appears on its home page.
  • Then the application form appears on the screen.
  • The candidates are required to fill up the details like name, date of birth, postal address, mail I.D., mother’s name, father’s name, educational qualification, etc.
  • Once filled up the candidates must ensure to cross-check for details to see that the application form is correctly filled up.
  • The application form should then be submitted by pressing the submit option.
  • After that, the application fee should be paid through the options of Credit Card / Debit Card / Net Banking or E-challan.
  • Lastly, a print out of the filled up application form should be taken and preserved for future reference.

Eligibility Criteria:

Students are suggested to check their eligibility criteria thoroughly before applying for an Undergraduate or Postgraduate course. It is also necessary to have scored at least 50% marks in their qualifying examination.

  • LLB (Hons.) Course: The applicants must have passed the B.A. / B.Sc. / B.Com in the pattern of 10+2+3, or any other equivalent Degree from a recognized University.
  • B.A. LLB Course: The candidates must have passed or appeared in the 10+2 or any other equivalent examination from a Government recognized University or Board.
  • LLM / LLM (HRDE / LLM (UNDER SCS-SPECIAL COURSE OF STUDY): The candidates must have completed or must be currently appearing in LLB (3years) or LLB (5 years) from any recognized University.
  • Ph.D.: For a full-time programme of Ph.D. the candidates must have cleared CRET (Common Research Entrance Test) which is conducted by the University. The candidates who have completed/cleared NET / JRF get an exemption from CRET.

Application Fees:

A non-refundable fee of Rs500 for general category candidates and Rs250 for reserved category candidates have to be paid during the submission of the application form.

Exam Pattern:

  • The BHU Law 2023 Entrance examination mode for both UG and PG programmes will be of pen and paper.
  • All the questions will be of multiple choice and the candidates have to select and mark the correct answer.
  • The duration of the examination will be of 2 hours.
  • There will be a total of 150 questions in the paper.
  • The paper will be 450 marks.
  • Here, each correct answer will carry 3 marks.

BHU LLB 2023 Syllabus:

The BHU LLB 2023 syllabus for both PG and UG entrance examinations will be different.

Undergraduate Entrance Examination: The subjects considered for the setting question for the entrance examination are Current Affairs, General Awareness, Legal Aptitude, Mental Ability, and English Comprehension.

Postgraduate Entrance Examination: The subjects included in this examination are Constitutional Law, Jurisprudence, Law of Contracts, Law of Torts, Law of Crimes, Environmental Law, Indian Evidence Law, Hindu Law, and Muslim Law.

BHU (PET & UET) Admit Card:

The University will release the admit card one week before the examination. It will be available online on the official website of the university. The roll number of the candidate, examination center, along with the date and day of an examination will be mentioned on the admit card of the BHU Law 2023 Entrance Examination. The university will upload the admit card on its official website from where the candidates have to download and take the print out.

The candidates must carry the admit card to the examination center otherwise they will not be allowed to enter the examination hall.

Result:

The BHU Law Result of the entrance examination for UG and PG shall be released in the 1st week of June and the 1st week of July respectively. The successful candidates who clear the entrance test will be called for counseling. The candidates shall be offered seats based on their performance in the entrance test.

Counseling for BHU LLB:

After the declaration of the result, the counseling for the Law course will begin. Only the shortlisted candidates will be invited to participate in the counseling round. At the time of counseling the following documents are required to be produced by the candidates in the original: the mark sheet of the Bachelor’s degree, Admit Card, Result of the entrance examination, Mark sheet of 12th examination, Mark sheet of last qualifying examination, and Category of candidates.
