BHU PET 2022: BHU PET is a university-level Post Graduation Entrance Exam conducted by Banaras Hindu University in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh. It is conducted to provide admission to General, Professional, Special and Vocational Courses. The University offers postgraduate programmes in the following streams: arts, commerce, social sciences, Agriculture, and the environment.

BHU PET 2022 Application Form:
- Visit the official BHU website
- Click on “BHU PET 2022 Application Form”.
- Choose an easy-to-remember password and click submit.
- Click on “Online Application Form”
- Fill in all the details in the application form.
- Upload a recent scanned Photograph and Signature.
- Choose five Exam Centers from the drop-down menu.
- Proceed to Pay the Application fees online.
- The application form will be available for download after payment of fees.
- Take a printout of the form for further references, if needed.
BHU PET Application Fee:
Application Fee is categorized into two categories.
- BHU PET 2022 Application Fee for General and OBC candidates is INR 500 and INR 200 for the additional Subject application fee.
- For SC and ST candidates, the application fee is INR 250 and the additional subject application fee is INR 100 respectively.
- Applicants should process additional subject fees in case they are applying for more than one subject.
The application fees can be processed in two modes:
- Using Credit/Debit Card: Credit/Debit card can be used to pay the fees online through the payment gateway that is available on the Entrance Test Portal. Fill in the Credit/Debit card number and CVV number and click proceed.
- Using Cash payment through Challan: Applicants who cannot use credit or debit cards can pay the application fee in cash payment. Challan can be processed in any HDFC branch. Select Challan at the time of form filling to download the challan with all the details. Applicants should visit any HDFC branch on a working day and deposit the amount to the bank.

BHU PET 2022 Eligibility:
The minimum eligibility requirement for BHU PET 2022 is a Bachelor’s Degree in the concerned subject with at least 50% aggregate marks.
- There is no upper age or lower age limit for application.
- Applicants must be Indian National.
- Candidates seeking admission to M.A course in Language must have studied the concerned Language at B.A. level
- No minimum eligibility marks will be applicable for SC/ST candidates.
- For OBC and Physically Challenged category, a minimum of 45 % marks is required in the Degree examination.

Exam Pattern:
M.Sc in Health Sciences:
- The paper comprises of 150 Multiple choice questions for 450 marks
- Time duration to complete the paper is 150 minutes
- Out of 150 questions, 125 questions will be asked from Statics taught at the Undergraduate Level and the remaining 25 will be based on statistical techniques application in life sciences.
M.Sc in Bioinformatics:
- The paper contains 150 multiple choice questions to be solved for 450 marks
- Time duration to complete the paper is 150 minutes
- Paper is divided into two sections i.e. Section A and Section B
- Section A comprises 30 multiple choice questions of 90 marks in total. Questions are based on Mathematics and Statistics and Computer Science at the elementary level.
- Section B will be comprising 40 MCQs of 360 marks. Questions are asked from Physics, Chemistry and Biology will be put up.
M.Sc in Molecular and Human Genetics:
- The paper consists of 150 multiple choice questions of carrying 450 marks
- Time duration to complete the paper is 2 hours
M.Sc (Maths, Statistics), M.Sc (Physics, Chemistry), M.Sc (Tech), Geophysics:
- The paper consists of 150 multiple choice questions carrying 450 marks.
- Time duration to complete the paper is 150 minutes.
- Questions will be asked from the subjects like Physics and Mathematics.
M.Sc in Applied Microbiology:
- The paper consists of 150 multiple choice questions asked from the subjects like Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics for 450 marks
- Time duration to complete the paper is 150 minutes
M.Sc in Environmental Science:
- Time to complete the paper is 2 hours which is based on multiple-choice graduate level questions carrying 360 marks.
- Paper is divided into 2 sections i.e. Section A and Section B
- Section A will have 30 questions from Basic Environment Science and 60 questions from Chemistry.
- Section B will have three Subsections namely Life Science, Physics and Geology.
M.Sc (M.Tech) Geology and M.Sc in Petroleum Geosciences:
- The paper consists of 150 MCQs carrying 450 marks and the time duration to complete the paper is 2 hours.
M.Sc in Environment Science and Technology:
- The paper comprises 150 multiple choice questions of graduate-level carrying 450 marks
- Time duration to complete the paper is 150 minutes
- 50 questions will be on General Sciences & Environment Engineering and 100 questions are asked from Environment Science & Engineering
M.Sc in Statistics and Technology:
- There shall be one paper consisting of 150 questions carrying 450 marks.
- The time duration to complete the paper is 150 minutes.
- Out of 150 questions, 125 questions will be based on Statistics and 25 will be based on Statistical computing using a high levels programming language such as FORTAN and C
M.Sc in Computational Science and Application in Signal Processing:
- The paper will be consisting of 150 questions carrying 450 marks and time duration to complete the paper is 150 minutes
- 50 questions will be based on Statistics, 50 on Mathematics and 50 on Computer Science.
M.Sc in Forensic Science:
- There will be one paper based on multiple-choice questions carrying 360 marks. The time to complete the paper is 120 minutes.
- In section A, 60 questions are from General Sciences and 20 questions are asked from Analytical Ability, Reasoning and Logical Skills
- In section B, questions are asked from Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Biology
M.Sc in Food Science & Technology
- The paper shall contain 120 multiple choice questions carrying 360 marks.
- Total time duration to complete the paper is 120 minutes
M.Sc in Plant Biotechnology:
- The paper shall contain 120 multiple choice questions carrying 360 marks.
- Total time duration to complete the paper is 120 minutes
- The questions will be based on B.Sc Agriculture or B.Sc with Biology or B.Sc Biotechnology.
MA in Arts and Social Sciences:
- The examination will be conducted through offline mode only i.e. it is a pen paper based test.
- Time duration to complete the paper is 2 hours
- Paper consists of 120 multiple choice questions carrying 360 marks
MCA:
- Total Time duration to complete the paper is 2 hours
- It comprises 120 questions asked from the subjects Mathematical Aptitude and Analytical and Logical Reasoning.
M.Lib.I.Sc:
- Paper consists of 120 multiple choice questions carrying 360 marks. It should be completed in 120 minutes.
- The questions will be based on General Awareness, Analytical Quantitative and Verbal Abilities and Aptitude.
Marking Scheme:
- For every correct answer, 3 marks will be awarded.
- For every incorrect answer, 1 mark will be deducted
- No mark will be deducted for un-attempted questions.

BHU PET 2022 Admit Card:
Admit Cards will be available for download only for successful submissions of the online applications. Here are steps to download the BHU PET 2022 Admit Card:
- Visit BHU Entrance Portal and Click on “Download Admit Card”
- Login using Unique Registration ID and password
- Save the Admit card
- Take a print out and affix a passport size photograph in the provided space.
Result:
• Based on the performance of the aspirants, a separate merit list would be prepared.
• Scorecard with total marks in each subject and AIR shall be released on the official website after the declaration of result.

- Visit the official website of BHU i.e. www.bhuonline.in.
- On the homepage, click on the “Download UET/PET Answer Keys” link.
- Click on the link stating “Course-wise entrance exam answer keys”.
- Open and download the answer key.
