BHU or Banaras Hindu University is a known university located in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh. This university aims at organizing university-level entrance tests for selecting eligible candidates for undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral level programmes. To attain admission into UG & PG programs, UET & PET is commenced by the University, and admission into doctoral-level programmes is offered via RET. BHU PET 2023 Application Form:
To apply for BHU PET 2023, the candidate needs to collect an application form via online mode. The registration process will begin in February for UET and PET.
The application process comprises steps such as Registration, filling the application form, uploading of the image and signature, preview and editing, and making the application fee payment. You can apply till March only and not after that.
Application Fee:
- Make the payment of the application fee via online mode using a debit card/ credit card or through offline mode by Challan.
- Those who belong to ST/SC/PC category, make payment for Rs. 150 and the course such as Shastri (Hons.) and Rs. 300 for other categories.
- For all other courses [Except Shastri (Hons.)], ST/SC/PC category needs to make payment for Rs. 300 and other categories, it is Rs. 600
- You need to make extra Fees for another course for those who belong to ST/SC/PC category Rs. 150 and for other categories, it is Rs. 300.

Eligibility Criteria for B.Com (Hons):
- Those who have successfully cleared the 10+2 or equivalent exam from the recognized board can apply for the course.
- Those who are applying must have completed class 12th with the subjects of Commerce/ Economics/Computer Science/Maths/Finance/Financial Markets Management.
- Candidates must have attained at least 50% aggregate marks in the qualifying exam.
- Those who are not less than 22 years as of 1st July 2023 can also apply
Eligibility Criteria for LLB (Hons):
- Those who have passed graduation in BA/ B.Sc/ B.Com or its equivalent from the recognized university can apply for the course.
- Candidate in the qualifying examination those who have passed 50% can also apply for the course.
- Candidate must not be more than 30 years of age, as of 1st July 2023.
Eligibility Criteria for MBA:
The candidate must have completed a Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Medicine, Education, Technology, Law, or it’s equivalent from some recognized board.
The candidate must have acquired 55% marks (45% marks for ST/SC) from some recognized universities/institutes.
Those who are appearing in the final year of the qualifying examination can also apply for the course.
Exam Pattern:

Exam Pattern for UET:
- The exam will take place in computer-based mode (online mode).
- The paper will appear in English & Hindi languages.
- The exam duration will be 2 hours and 2½ hours as per the course.
- There will be 150 multiple choice questions that will be asked.
- The question paper will be 450 marks.
- The candidate will get 3 marks for every correct answer and there will be a deduction of 1 mark for every incorrect answer.
Exam Pattern for PET:
The entrance exam for Postgraduate programmes will take place in online mode.
- The time duration of the exam will be 2 hours.
- The paper will have two sections- Section A and Section B.
- There will be 120 multiple choice questions, 60 questions in each section.
- The Paper will be of 360 marks in all.
- The candidate will get 3 marks for every correct answer and there will be a deduction of 1 mark for every incorrect answer.
BHU PET Syllabus:
Check the exam syllabus via online mode. The syllabus for UG courses will appear from the 10+2 level and for PG programmes, it will appear from the level of graduation subjects.
The syllabus for the Under Graduate level includes the topics studied in class XII.
For Post Graduate, the syllabus will appear from various topics according to the programme selected by the candidates at the level of graduation.
Admit Card:
The candidate will collect admit cards from the online mode in April and May for PET. BHU will convey the message for the admit card via SMS or email at the registered email address and mobile number.
Download the admit card by using the email id or registration id. After downloading is over, candidates will paste passport size photographs in the space provided on the printout of the admit card.
Answer Key:
There will be a release of the answer key via online mode. It will be released by May after gets over. The answer key will be in PDF format and candidates can check the answer key of various sets such as Set 1, Set 2 and Set 3, etc.
Exam Result:
Check the exam result via online mode. The result will be announced in May. To access the result, make use of the roll number and other credentials. The candidate will also be informed via SMS and email.
Cut Off List:
After qualifying the cut-off marks, the candidate will get the chance to go for admission rounds. The cut-off marks are different for all categories and programmes. The merit list will also be prepared and released through the online mode. This list will be created based on the scores attained by the candidate in the examination and reservation policy of the university.
Counseling:
Counseling will begin after attaining the qualifying percentage and published the merit list. The counseling will also be organized in offline & offline mode. The counseling procedure includes steps such as – Options Entry, Seat Allocation, and Reporting at the allotted institute. Download the counseling letters to appear for counseling. The provisional admission will be given after paying the fee for the course.
