Bihar Institute of Law Admission 2022: The Bihar Institute of Law is a prominent Law school situated in Bihar’s capital city, Patna. This institution was established in the year 1984 and offers both undergraduate 3 years LLB. and a 5 years integrated law course. It is approved by the Honorable Bar Council of India (BCI), New Delhi. The institution was established for imparting quality legal education at an affordable cost by a group of notable academicians and senior advocates of Patna High Court. Admissions are made on a merit basis and admissions can be secured through the BILAT examination.
Bihar Institute of Law Admission 2022 Application Form:
The application form is available from the office of the Bihar Institute Of Law located. The application form and prospectus for the entrance examination are also available for download from the official website of the college. It is advisable for the candidate to keep at least 6 copies of the same photograph for the admission procedure.
- The candidates should take extra to read the application form carefully and paste absolutely identical color photographs at the appropriate places in the Application Form.
- Application Forms which have Xerox or photocopies of Photograph are not considered eligible for further processing.
- Xerox copies or photocopies of admission forms are not allowed for the admission procedure.
- Only genuine application forms are allowed for the admission procedure.
Bihar Institute of Law Application Fee:
- For those candidates who pay Rs.1100 and collect the application form and prospectus from the office of the college, the fee for the entrance examination is included in the aforesaid payment.
- The candidates who download the Form and Prospectus from the College website have to attach a bank draft or a pay-in-slip in favor of the Bihar Institute of Law, Patna of Rs. 1200/-.
- The filled Application Form, Admit Card and Attendance sheet along with Bank Draft of those applicants who have downloaded the form from the college website has to be submitted along with self-attested copies of all Mark sheet, caste certificate, PH certificate (if applicable) the Principal, Bihar Institute of Law, Raja Bazar, Ashiana More, Post – B.V. College, Patna – 800 014 on or before the stipulated last date of submission of Form.
Course fee:
- The course fee for the 3 Year L.L.B. Course is Rs.30254 per annum while the course fee for the 5 year integrated B.A. L.L.B course is Rs.35254 per annum.
- The cost of the admission form is Rs.800.
- The Library Charge is a non-refundable amount of Rs.1000.
- The fee for the college Identity card is Rs.150

Exam Pattern
- The medium of the BILAT entrance examination is English.
- The BILAT examination is based on objective questions and has to be answered in a multiple-choice format.
- The duration of the BILAT examination is limited to a maximum of two hours.

Syllabus:
- The mathematical aptitude section of the BILAT examination consists of algebra, Venn diagram, Speed, Time and Distance, etc.
- The legal aptitude & legal reasoning part of the BILAT examination includes propositional truth and conclusion, problem-solving aptitude,
- The logical & analytical reasoning section of the BILAT examination includes topics such as Identifying Patterns, Completing Arguments, Analogies, Statements, Relationship questions, etc.
- The current affairs or general knowledge section includes topics such as economics, history, general sciences, current affairs, etc.
- The English Comprehension part of the BILAT examination includes topics such as common errors, fill in the blanks, improvement and rearrangement of sentences, etc.
Admit Card
The admit card for the BILAT examination is to be collected from the office of Bihar Institute of Law on the declared date of admit card distribution. It should be noted that admit cards are not sent by Post, and applicant have to collect their admit cards from the college in person.
Result:
- The Bihar Institute of Law, Patna publishes a detailed category wise merit list of successful candidates in the college’s official notice board and on their official website.
- It should be noted that no revaluation inquiry or personal recommendation is entertained by the Bihar Institute of Law authorities and the admission is strictly on the basis of merit.
Merit list:
- The Bihar Institute of Law, Patna publishes the category wise merit list of successful candidates.
- The merit list is published on the notice board of the Bihar Institute of Law and on the Bihar Institute of law website.
- The admission to LLB. course and B.A. LLB. course will be done strictly in order of the merit list drawn on the basis of the performance of the candidate in the aforesaid Entrance Test.
- In order to qualify for admission to the college, the candidate has to score the minimum qualifying marks of 40% marks in the BILAT examination.
- In case, a candidate secures less than 40% marks in the entrance test, he or she will be disqualified from the admission process of the LLB. course and B.A. LLB. course.
- If two or more candidates secure equal marks in the BILAT examination, the candidate who has secured higher marks in 10+2 or graduation will be admitted.
- If two or more candidates have secured equal marks obtained in entrance test & Graduation or 10+2, the older candidate will be admitted.
