Admission Details: Those who are registered in the entrance process and admission will be based on merit in written exams and vacancies. Get a Student Information Form and fill it completely. There will be regular admission from classes III to V. Admissions in classes VIII, IX, and XI do not take place under the regular process. Admission can only take place if there is a vacancy and registration can be made under special requests.

Those who have registered will appear for the entrance exam which will be consisted of half an hour tests in subjects such as Mathematics, English, Science, and General Awareness. In addition to this, there will be reading assessments, verbal and non-verbal assessments in order to check how children can cope with life in such a well-established school. There is no specific syllabus for the entrance exam. The entrance test will take place in the month of September in Shimla only and the second weekend will be in Delhi. The exam reporting time will be 9:00 am.

Important to Note:

• Make sure to verify the details for Demand Draft DD from the school’s official website.
• The admission form needs to be duly filled and submitted at the School Office along with the registration fee of Rs 10,000.
• As soon as the application process gets over, the child’s parents will get the call letter consisted of an entrance date and Interview.

Bishop Cotton School Shimla Fee Structure:

• Make one time, non-refundable Admission fee:
• If the student is a domicile in India and Nepal will pay Rs 65,000 and overseas students will pay Rs 100,000
• Caution money will be Rs 3,00,000 which school will return during the time of leaving the school.

Annual Fee Structure:

1. Classes III to X will pay Rs. 5,30,000.00 to Rs. 8,72,000
2. Classes XI & XII will pay Rs. 5,65,000.00 to Rs. 8,72,000

Pocket Money:

• Students of classes III to V will pay Rs. 5,000.00 which will be deposited along with the fees

• The academic session will start from 1st March and will get over on 30th November.
• Those who are applying for admission in the month of March are required to prepare their child for an entrance test to be held in the month of September. Suppose the child seeking admission to class V, will prepare for examinations using the frame of reference for admission to class V.

Dormitory:

• Students of class I to VIII will stay in newly established dormitories under the direct care and supervision of Matrons. Here boys of a similar age group will put together.
• Each dormitory will have 34 boys with a locker, cupboard, toilet, common room and linen room and spa
• A Housemaster will be comprised of 8-10 House Tutors working with him. Each House Tutor has 10 boys from classes VI to XII.
• The tutorial groups do not change in order to encourage the ward/guardian relationship.
• There will be a Prefect System at Bishop Cotton School all over India. These prefects are appointed by the Headmaster after wide consultation with boys and senior faculty.
