BPSC 2024 Application Form:

The Application Form will release on the Official website of BPSC. Read all the instructions carefully prior you fill the application form. Go to the main website and fill in all the details correctly and accurately. Don’t forget to upload your photo and signature along with the application form. The payment of the application form is another important formality to be done.

Application Fee:

•  For general candidates: Rs.600/- (six hundred)
• For SC/ ST of Bihar State only- Rs.150/- (One Hundred Fifty) ) Rupees
• Rs.150/- (one hundred and fifty) for handicapped candidates (40% or more)
• For all other candidates- Rs.600/- (six hundred)

Steps to Apply for BPSC 2024:

• Visit the Official Website of the Bihar Public Service Commission i.e, https://onlinebpsc.bihar.gov.in/
• On the Homepage, click on the notification regarding BPSC Jobs 2024.
• Then click on the “Apply Online” Link.
• Now a Registration Form will open and fill the Registration Form.
• Fill in all the details and then User ID and Password will be mailed to their registered Mail ID.
• Now log in by User ID & Password and fill the Application Form.
• Then Pay the Application Fee.
• Take a Print Out of Submit Final Form for Further Process.

BPSC 2024 Eligibility Criteria:

Find the eligibility conditions to apply for BPSC 2024 Exam below:

Age Criteria: Minimum age service-wise as of 1st August 2024,

• 20 years, 21 years and 22 years and
• Maximum unreserved (male candidate) 37 years,
• Unreserved (female), backward class, and Extremely backward class (male and female candidates) – 40 years and
• Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (Both Male and Female) – 42 years
• 22 years for the services of serial numbers 1 to 8 and 13
• Serial numbers 9, 10, 11, 12, 14, 15, and 16 must have completed 21 years

Educational Qualification:

Applicants must have completed graduation or equivalent exam from some recognized university.

Prelims Syllabus: General Studies:

The paper on General Studies will include questions covering the following fields of knowledge:-

• General Science: Current events of national and international importance.
• History of India and salient features of the history of Bihar.
• General Geography and geographical division of Bihar and its major river systems.
• Indian Polity and Economy and major changes in the economy of Bihar in the post independence period.
• Indian National Movement and the part played by Bihar in it and also Questions on General Mental Ability.
• Questions on General Science will cover general appreciation and understanding of science, including matters of everyday observation and experience, as may be expected of a well-educated person who has not made a special study of any scientific discipline.
• In History, emphasis will be on the broad general understanding of the subject in its social, economic, and political aspects. The candidates are expected to be familiar with the broad aspects of the history of Bihar.
• In Geography, emphasis will be on the geography of India and Bihar. Questions on the Geography of India and Bihar will relate to the physical, social, and economic Geography of the country including the main features of Indian agricultural and natural resources.
• Questions of Indian Polity and Economy will test knowledge on the country’s political system, Panchayati Raj, community development, and planning in India and Bihar.
• Question on the Indian National Movement will relate to the nature and character of the nineteenth-century resurgence, growth of nationalism, and attainment of Independence and candidates will be expected to answer questions on the role of Bihar in the freedom movement of India.

Main Syllabus:

GENERAL STUDIES: General studies papers I and paper II will cover the following areas of knowledge:-

GENERAL STUDIES PAPER- I

(1) Modern History of India and Indian culture.
(2) Current events of national and international importance.
(3) Statistical analysis, graphs, and diagrams.

GENERAL STUDIES PAPER- II

• Indian Polity:
• Indian economy and Geography of India; and
• The role and impact of science and technology in the development of India.
• In paper-I, Modern History of India and Indian Culture will cover the broad history of the country (with special
  reference to Bihar) from about the middle of the nineteenth century. The modern history of Bihar will include questions on the introduction and expansion of western education (including technical education). It will also have questions on Bihar’s role in the freedom struggle of India. Questions will relate to the Santhal Uprising, 1857 in Bihar, the Birsa movement, Champaran Satyagrah, and the Quit India Movement 1942. Knowledge of the chief features of Mauryan and Pal art and Patna Qulam painting will be expected from the examinees. It would also include questions or Gandhi, Tagore, and Nehru. The part relating to statistical analysis, graphs, and diagrams will include exercises to test the candidate’s ability to draw common-sense conclusions from information presented in the statistical, graphical, or diagrammatical form and to point out deficiencies, limitations, or inconsistencies therein.
• In Paper II, the part relating to Indian Polity will include questions on the political system in India including Bihar.
• Indian Economy and Geography of India, questions will be put on planning in India and the physical, economic and social geography of India and Bihar.
• In the third part relating to the role and impact of science and technology in the development of India, questions will be asked to test the candidate’s awareness of the role and impact of science and technology in India, and Bihar Emphasis will be on applied aspects.

Interview Procedure:

Those who clear the Main examination and Preliminary can move to a Personal Interview. There will be a final selection of the candidates based on the marks acquired attained in Main, Prelims, and Interview

Admit Card:

Collect the BPSC Civil Services 2024 Admit Card from the main website. Download the admit card from the official website http://www.onlinebpsc.bihar.gov.in/. Enter your name and registration number and you will be able to receive the admit card soon. Ensure that you take a printout of this card and carry it with you to the examination center.

Result:

Get the result of the examination by moving to the official website. Click the website, enter the roll number, and catch the result. The result of the examination will appear almost after a month after the examination is commenced.
