CAG Recruitment 2023: The Controller and Auditor General of India New Delhi, is the conducting authority of CAG Recruitment. The official of Controller and Auditor General has been released the notification of recruitment 2023. Interested candidates can apply for the examination online by the official website. There are two posts available for recruitment is Accountant and Auditor. The recruitment comes under the central government and it is a central job category. CAG Recruitment 2023 Application Form:

The application form will be available on the official website of the CAG recruitment. Interested candidates fill the application form online.

• Go to the official link for the application form provided official page
• Check all the eligibility criteria carefully
• Download the application form and take a printout copy of it
• Fill all the details with correct information
• Attach all the required documents with an application form
• Put passport size photograph and signature
• Send dully-filled application form to the official address

Application Fee:

Application fees can be paid online payment gateway provided by the official website. it will pay by Credit Card/ Debit Card/ Net Banking and another Payment medium like UPI etc. The link for the fee payment is given on the website. This year’s application fee is yet to be announced on the official website.

Eligibility Criteria:

• Age limit- The age of the applicant is must be a minimum of 18 years as on the current year of examination. The maximum age limit is 27 years as on the current year.
• Education Qualification- Candidates who want to apply for the recruitment must have passed graduation from recognized University or Institution.
• Language proficiency for the language specified. It is to be tested as per the level you have applied for the state vacancies.

Total vacancies for two posts are as follows:-

• Accountants- 4402 Vacancies
• Auditor- 6409 vacancies

Pay Scale is as follows: – level 5 29200 Rs- 92300 Rs

Comptroller and Auditor General Exam Pattern:

The examination pattern for the CAG recruitment is based on the written examination in which there is objective types of questions will be asked. The total number of questions is 100. The total time duration for the examination will be 2 hours or 120 minutes. The maximum mark will be provided is 200. Each question carries one mark. There is a negative marking scheme is there so 0.25 marks will be deducted for each wrong answer.

Exam Syllabus:

Candidates are suggested to prepare according to the syllabus to crack the examination. Subjects will be asked in the examination are as follows:-

• Basic Concepts of Accounting:- following topics will be covered under it like Books of Original Entry, Journal, Single and Double Entry, Ledgers, Trial Balance, Bank Reconciliation, Depreciation Accounting, Rectification of Errors, Balance Sheet, Manufacturing, Trading, The Distinction Between Capital and Revenue Expenditure, Profit and loss, Appropriation Accounts, Self Balancing Ledgers, Receipts and Payments and Income and Expenditure Accounts, Bills of Exchange Self, Valuation of Inventories, Non-Profit Organizations Accounts, The distinction between Capital and Revenue Expenditure etc.
• Financial Accounting:- Accepted accounting principles, Nature and Scope of financial accounting, limitation of Financial Accounting, Basic concepts and Conventions

Admit Card:

Admit card will download from the website by using the application number and date of birth as a Password. It is mandatory to bring admit at the time of examination without if the candidate will not be able to sit in the examination. Also bring one identity proof with you like Adhaar Card, Passport, Voter ID etc. it has the following details name, roll number, exam centre address and timings, etc.

Result:

Result of the examination will be released after the examination. They will prepare a merit list on the basis of qualifying marks candidates have got. Candidates can check the result through online by using their Roll number and password. After the result merit list will be displayed on the website as well.

Cutoff Marks:

The cutoff marks depend upon the following factors like the number of candidates applying, seat availability, candidates’ seat ratio, reservation policies, test difficulty level, etc. So minimum and maximum qualifying marks are deicide by the authority and those candidates who score more marks as per the qualifying marks decided, the rank will be decided as per that.

Selection Process:

CAG Recruitment selection process depends upon the following aspects which are Written examination, personal interview and Documents verification. The method of recruitment is done by direct recruitment or by promotion or by deputation or absorption and percentage of the vacancies to be filled by various methods. 50% by promotion and 50% by direct recruitment.
