CAT 2025 Application Form:

How to Fill the CAT Application Form 2025?

Candidates follow the below steps, it will help to submit the application form for CAT Exam 2025:

Registration:

• Go to the Official Website of CAT and there will you see Login & Registration.
• For the new user click Registration and Make an account there,
• Candidates fill out the online form, Enter their details Name, Contact Details, Date of Birth, email ID, and Valid phone number.
• After submitting this form you will get the OTP to verify your phone number.
• After verifying the mobile number,  candidates will get the User ID & Password.

Applicant Fee:

Applicants under NC/OBC and general category need to pay Rs.2200/ as a registration fee and for SC/ST/and Person with Disability need to submit a small portion of just Rs.1100/. Send the registration fee via online mode. Make sure to use the official portal for associating with this connection. Ensure to check the official website for concise info in this regard.

Eligibility Criteria:

As it is already known that the CAT exam is to get admitted for the courses like PGPEM, PGP, PGP-ABM, PGPBM, PGP-UAE, PGPWE, PGPPM, EPGPM, PGP-Mumbai, PGPSM, PGDHRM, PGDM, and PGPEX so the applicant should go through the eligibility criteria to acknowledge that whether he/she is fit to appear in this exam or not.

• The candidate should have done graduation level courses in any of the streams.
• Minimum marks attained in graduation level course fixed at 50% marks or have done with equivalent CGPA. However, reserved category candidates can apply if 45% of marks are gained.
• If the candidate is in the final year of the graduation course then he/she can also appear in CAT 2025 examination.

Reservation:

• 15% of the seats are reserved for Scheduled Caste (SC) candidates
• 7.5% for Scheduled Tribe (ST) candidates
• 27% of Other Backward Classes candidates belonging to the “Non-Creamy” layer (NC-OBC)
• up to 10% for Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) candidates
• 5% for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwD)

This pattern of percentage can be changed as per the year by Government in India

Admission Process:

The process of admission is plain. It is based on the scores that the applicant has gained in the category like group discussion, written ability test, and personal interview. While shortlisting and ranking the candidates, institutes can check the academic and working backgrounds. Further, these institutes also consider academic performance and other related inputs of the candidates as well.

Exam Pattern:

• The candidate will appear in the examination using the online mode.
• The entire question paper consisted of 100 questions.
• These questions are based on data interpretation, verbal ability, logical reasoning, and quantitative ability.
• The exam duration will be 2 hours, and 50 minutes.
• For every question, 3 marks will be added and 1 mark will be deducted for every incorrect question. However, if the candidate has not answered the question then no mark is given to it.

CAT Syllabus 2025:

Candidates need the preparation according to their self Authority and not prescribe any kind of syllabus for the CAT Exam. Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension (VARC):

• Reading Comprehension: In this section CAT 2025 Exam question will ask comprehension passages of medium length, the passages will carry 250 to 500 words. The question will be asked in the CAT exam directly and inferential.
• English Usage: In this section, the question will ask about Grammer and verbal reasoning such as Grammar, Fill in blanks, Verbal Reasoning, Sentence Correction, Antonyms, Synonyms, etc:

Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning (DI & LR):

• Data Interpretation: Data Sufficiency, Combination of Graphs, Tables, Bar Graph, Caselet, Line Graph, Pie Chart, etc,
• Logical Reasoning: Binary Logic, Matching Puzzles, Blood Relations, Family Tree, Proposition, Sets, Seating Arrangement, Syllogism, Venn Diagram, Statements, Clocks, and Calendars, etc.

Mathematics or Quantitative Ability (QA):

Algebra, Number System, Geometry, Arithmetic, Higher Maths, Modern Mathematics, Trigonometry, Mensuration, etc.
