MHT CET Medical / Engineering or Maharashtra Common Entrance Test (Medical) is an entrance examination for undergraduates interested in making their career in medical, engineering, and pharmacy. This state-level examination is for health science degree courses in Maharastra. The exam takes place every year via DMER or Directorate of Medical Education and Research and DTE or Directorate of Technical Education.
Before moving further, it is important to acknowledge that Medical colleges are comprised of government Medical Colleges, Government aided Health Science institutes and Private Medical Health science colleges or institutions selected for admission via exam.
Through CET Exam, offered courses will be – MBBS, BHMS, BUMS, BDS, BAMS, BPTh, BOTh, BP&O, BASLP and BSc Nursing. The DTE will commence the examination in regard to the admissions in the first year B.E/B. Tech programmes in Maharastra state engineering colleges
Valid Exam Date: The examination will take place in the first week of May. The exam will be commenced via the Government of Maharashtra
Colleges included: Government and Private Medical / Engineering Colleges
Eligibility of the Candidate Applying for Examination: Interested candidates should be citizens of India. This clearly implies that if the candidate is anyone from Person of Indian Origin (PIO), Overseas Citizen of India (OCI), or Non-Resident Indian (NRI) then it is relevant to appear in the examination.
DOB: Before applying for the examination, ensure that candidate was born on December 31, 2005 or before this date. Thus, the minimum age limit is 17.
Qualification: Candidates should have passed his/her 10th and 12th classes or any other equivalent examination from an institute located in Maharashtra with subjects like Chemistry, English, Physics, and Biology with Botany & Zoology for Medical and Maths in case of Pharmacy/Engineering. Children, who are employees of the Maharashtra Government or its undertaking who have done with the 10th or 12th or some other equivalent exam are eligible for appearing in the MHT CET Exam
Whole question paper is inclusive of 200 marks. It is will be Objective type and comprises of Multiple Choice Questions. There will be no negative marking. For every correct answer, 1 mark will be added and no marks deduction for incorrect answer. Thus, benefit to the applicant
Questions will be based on 12th class syllabus. Thus, make sure for going through the topics carefully to give at your best
As it is state level examination, thus questions will be based on Textbooks which are provided via Maharastra Education Government
