CITEE 2023 Application Form:
There will be two way to submit the application form Online & Offline. The interested applicants may apply both online and offline. Here are the details about the application form:
Online Mode:
- Go to the official website and go through the instruction carefully
- Click on “Apply Now”
- Now, Create a “login ID” and “password” as a part of the Registration process
- Fill the application form by entering the personal details and academic qualifications.
- Submit the application fee.
- Download the CITEE application form and seek the printout of the same for further needs.
Note: Take a print and send the hard copy of the online application form to “The Member Secretary, Admission Committee, Cit, Kokrajhar, Btad, Assam-783370”, via registered/speed/general post on or before April 2023. The form must include the entrance examination fees receipt paid through SBI, E-Collect.

Submit the online application fee via modes such as debit/ credit cards or net banking. Check the amount below:

Eligibility Criteria:
Here are the eligibility criteria for CITEE 2023:
Age: The age of the applicant as of 01-08-2023 must go beyond the following age limit for various categories-
- GEN/OBC-19 years
- SC/ST/PWD-24 years
- Female Candidates-22 years.
Nationality: The applicant must be a citizen of India.
Academic Qualification:
Candidates must have cleared HSLC or equivalent with a minimum of 45% marks in aggregate and 50% of marks in Science, Mathematics (or Advanced Mathematics), and English taken together for GEN/OBC candidates (relaxation up to 5% of marks for ST/SC/PWD candidates).
Admission into any of the diploma/degree programme is provided if the institute find the applicant to be fit by the Institute Medical officer or a medical officer of Govt. Hospital for the purpose. Candidates need to pay the necessary fee for the test.
Entrance Test:
This is a 3-year diploma course available in the Central Institute of Technology, Kokrajhar through entrance test and the details about the same are as follows:
- Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering (ET) – 30
- Computer Science (Co) – 30
- Control & Instrumentation Engineering (CAI) – 30
- Food Processing Technology (FPT) – 30

Seat Distribution:
From the total number of seats in the Diploma Programme, 85% seats are provided to the Central Institute of Technology Entrance Examination (CITEE) commenced by CIT, Kokrajhar and the rest of the 15% of the seats are proffered via the Polytechnic Admission Test (PAT) conducted by State Council of Technical Education, Assam.
Exam Pattern:
It is worth checking the examination pattern and syllabus to make better preparation for the test:
- Paper will be commenced in offline mode
- It will be in the English language
- There will be MCQs to be completed in 180 minutes.
Marks Distribution:
- Mathematics: 50 questions for 50 marks
- Physics: 25 questions for 25 marks
- Chemistry: 25 questions for 25 marks

- English: 25 questions for 25 marks
Exam Syllabus:
The candidate needs to prepare for the test from the class X syllabus from subjects such as Mathematics, Chemistry, and Physical Science of the CBSE board.
Admit Card/Hall Ticket:
The admit card will be provided to those who have submitted the application form before the last date. This card contains important information such as the candidate’s name, roll number, date and time of the test, and address of the exam center. It is mandatory to carry this card to the examination center.

Exam Result:
The exam result will be announced by the second week of June. To check the scorecard through the official website and those who have their names on the merit list will be able to download the result. Enter the login credentials to check the result. It is important to download the result and keep its copy for further reference.
Merit List:
The merit list will be prepared on the basis of performance in the entrance test. The ranking of the candidate is dependent on total marks acquired in the entrance exam, then individual marks acquired in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English.
Admission Procedure:
Candidates can seek admission to CIT programme in two ways.
- First, clear the CITEE 2023 entrance test and appear for counseling at CIT, Kokrajhar.
- The second method is to appear in Polytechnic Admission Test (PAT) 2023 conducted by Director, State Council for Technical Education (SCTE), Guwahati, Assam. Those who appear in PAT need to attend CITEE counseling.
- Admission in all the Polytechnics/Technological Institutions for the Academic Session 2023-2023 will be made after the CITEE counseling process.
- The shortlisted candidates must report to the counseling venue where document verification will take place
Make sure to carry the following original certificates:
- A printed copy of the CITEE 2023 Admit Card and application form
- Mark sheet of the Qualifying Class X Exam
- Date of Birth Certificate (SSC/Matriculation or equivalent Certificate).
- Community/ Caste Certificate issued by the competent authority in case of SC/ST/BC/EBC/ Minority candidates (if applicable)
- Two latest color passport size photos
- Physical fitness certificate from an Asst. Civil Surgeon
- A set of Photocopies of all the above certificates.
Seat Reservation:
The seat reservation followed by the Government of Assam, check below:
- North-East region excluding BTAD – 20%
- All India excluding North-East Region -17%
- Physically handicapped candidates irrespective of the region – 03%
- BTAD – (60% ST, 5% SC, 15%OBC and 20% General)
