CLAT Eligibility Criteria: The eligible candidate to appear for the CLAT examination is the one who is too up to the mark with the given below criteria:
UG Law Programme:
There will be no upper age limit for UG Programme in CLAT.
The candidate should have completed class 12th or the equivalent examination from any recognized board.
The minimum marks that candidates should have attained are 45% (general category) and 40% for the candidates belonging to SC or ST category.
Candidates appearing for the final annual examination can also apply.
The result of the qualifying examination (i.e., 10+2) shall be submitted by the candidate at the time of admission failing which the candidate shall be ineligible for admission to the Course.
In case of equal marks, the break of tie shall be by the following procedure and order as under:
Higher marks in the component/section on legal aptitude in the CLAT 2021 exam;
Those who are applying for the postgraduate courses must have completed LLB or integrated LLB degree from the recognized university or the equivalent degree with minimum possible 55% marks (general category) and 50% for SC/ST candidates.
Age is no bar while applying for the CLAT examination after the order issued by the Supreme Court of India.
The candidate should either be NRI or Indian. Those candidates who are in their final year can also opt for applying for the exam but only after providing the passing certificate of the qualifying exam at the time of admission procedure.
Tie Breaker Rule: In case of equal marks, the break of tie shall be by the following procedure and order as under:
