CUCET 2023: Central Universities Common Entrance Test 2023: Central Universities Common Entrance Test or CUCET is the national level computer-based test for admissions to the UG programmes at 44 central universities as well as 13 other institutes. CUCET 2023 Application Process:
To apply for Central Universities Common Entrance Test 2023, applicants are required to fill out the application form in the online mode. Here is the step-by-step process:
- First, go to the official website of the CUCET
- Now, click on the ‘Apply Online’ tab to register for the desired programme.
- Complete the registration process by entering the information such as name, valid e-mail-id, mobile number, date of birth, and verification code flash on the screen.
- As soon as all the details are entered, the application number and password will be generated and sent on the candidate’s registered email address and mobile number.
- Utilize this application number and password to sign in and fill in the application for.
- Start entering the personal, academic and other details in the application form
- Upload the scanned images of the latest passport-sized photograph and signature in the prescribed format and dimensions.
- After this, choose the examination centers in order of preference. Also, choose the exam center.
- Ensure to enter the university and programme details.
- Make sure to submit the application fee in the offline/online mode
- As soon as you make the payment, an e-mail and SMS is sent to the registered e-mail ID and mobile number. However, in the case of the offline mode, candidates will receive the confirmation in 3-4 working days.
- Application fees can be submitted via modes such as debit card, credit card, net banking and SBI Challan.

Eligibility Criteria:
Check the eligibility criteria to appear in CUCET 2023:
- Those who have cleared class XII or appearing in class XII may appear for CUCET.
- There is no specific age to appear in the test however, applicants need to verify with the universities about any specific restrictions.
- Candidates must have scored at least 50% marks in class XII for the general category and 45% for SC/ST category applicants
Check the level-wise Eligibility Conditions:
- UG Courses: Applicant must have cleared class XII from some recognised board in the Science stream. In the General category, applicants must have attained at least 50% marks in class XII and SC/ST category applicants must have attained at least 45% marks. For BTech programmes, the minimum aggregate marks in the General category are 45% and 40% for reserved category applicants.
- PG Courses: Applicant must be possessed with the degree of graduation from some recognised university and secure 55% (General) and 50% (SC/ST)
- PhD Courses: For PhD program, the minimum qualification is post-graduation degree from some recognized university/institute to apply for admission in research programmes. Applicant must have acquired at least 55% aggregate (General) and 50% (SC/ST)
Note: If the applicant has cleared UGC-CSIR JRF, GATE, NBHM or qualified in any other national level exam, they are not required to appear for the entrance exam. However, they have to register for Central Universities Common Entrance Test 2023

Test Centers:
Candidates who applied for Central Universities Common Entrance Test 2023 may select any of the test centers from the options available in 543 cities in India and 13 cities abroad. It is required to enter the four of their preferred CUET exam centre cities while filling up the CUET application form. NTA will assign the CUCET 2023 centre in their preferred exam city. It is their responsibility to inform you about the allotted exam centre through admit card. And you cannot change the exam center at all once it is allotted.
Admit Card:
It is compulsory for applicants to carry the admit card along with them to the examination center. It contains all the important information about exam as well as examinations. After receiving the admit card from the official website, check the details mentioned in it. Besides carrying the hall ticket or admit card, carry a relevant and original photo ID proof to the exam centre. You may carry any amongst Driving License, Passport, PAN Card, Voter ID, Aadhaar Card, etc. Make sure to carry a passport size photograph to the test centre as well. The photograph should preferably be the same as used at the time of filling the CUET application form.
Syllabus:
The syllabus of CUCET comprises of NCERT class XII syllabus The common subjects includes English, General Aptitude, Numerical Aptitude/Data Interpretation, Analytical Skills, Reasoning and General Knowledge.
Exam Pattern:
CUCET 2023 examination pattern released by NTA includes in the official website. Here are the details:
- The exam will be computer based
- Applicant needs to complete the paper in two-and-a-half hours
- The sections included in the exam are Section 1A, Section 1B, general test and domain-specific subjects.
- Section 1A is a compulsory test in 13 languages (choose the language of your choice)
- Section 1B is optional (for students who opt for another language apart from subjects selected in Section 1A)
- The marking scheme varies from section to section.
Answer Key:
The Answer Key will be released in the online mode. It will help the candidates to check the expected marks. In case of any discrepancy in the Answer key contact the official authorities. Here is the step-by-step process to check the Answer Key:

CUCET Result:
the result of Central Universities Common Entrance Test 2023 will release in the online mode. Enter the login credentials to check the result. The exam result consisted of the entrance test and qualifying status. Go to the official website and use the logon credentials to check the result. The merit list will appear based on the performance of the candidate in the entrance exam. Steps to check the result:
- First, go to the official website of CUCET
- Now, click on ‘Login to view Score Card’ tab.
- The result login window will flash on the screen.
- After this, enter the roll number and date of birth in the given space.
- And now click on the ‘Login’ tab.
- The exam result will flash on screen
- Download the result and take several print out of the score card
