CUET 2024 is the first-ever mandated common entrance test for all 47 Central Universities’ undergraduate programmes. Admission to undergraduate courses at Central Universities will be exclusively based on CUET 2024 results, with no consideration given to class 12th results. International students will be excluded from CUET 2024, and their admissions will be handled on a supernumerary basis. Universities are currently flexible in using the CUET 2024 scores for post-graduate programmes.
The major goal of the CUET test is to relieve students of the stress of obtaining UG admissions. 47 central institutions would accept Common University Entrance Test 2024 scores to fill around 1.8 lakh seats. According to the National Testing Agency, the Common University Entrance Test 2024 Exam will be held in different shifts over the course of seven days. Participating institutes will disclose their CUET cut-off scores separately. Different courses and categories will have different cutoffs.
The exam will be administered in a computer-based test mode, according to the CUET Exam Pattern 2024. Sections IA and IB of the CUET question paper will be language-based, Component II will be domain-specific, and Section III will be the general test section.
