DHE Chandigarh 2023 Application Form:
Step 1: Online Registration
- Go to the official website of DHE www.dhe.chd.gov.in.
- Then sign in to register on the website by filling in the details such as Email ID, Mobile Number, and Name
- Mobile Number will be the Login ID and Password will be sent to the applicant’s registered mobile number via SMS.
- If a candidate wishes to change the password, they can do so.
- Candidates can easily log in to the admission portal through the password to go to this portal.
- Submit the Registration Fee of Rs. 70/- via online mode to move forward to fill the application form. It is important to note the newly generated transaction number.
- Candidates may apply for several Courses/Colleges with the help of the same User id and Password but the application forms will be different for each course.
Step 2: Log in to apply for courses
- Sign in to the DHE website www.dhe.chd.gov.in through a registered user Id and password.
- Click on the Application Form and the candidate will get two options:- Degree Colleges and Professional Colleges
- If you select the Degree Colleges option then the candidate will again select their own choice and again two options will appear – New Student and Old Student
- Those who are applying for the first time for 1st year of courses in undergraduate and postgraduate courses will click the New Student.
- Choose Centralized Admission link for the courses for which admissions are centralized and select Non-Centralized link for courses whose admission will be in respective colleges
- Check the rules and regulations before filling the application form.
Step 3: Fill an Online Application Form
- Candidates will fill all the fields in the application form.
- For centralized courses admission, submit the preference of colleges to avail seats on merit.
- Fill in all the details carefully and accurately as per the instructions for avoiding any trouble later.
- Select the reserved category, if any. Upload the relevant supporting documents showing the name of the applicant.
- Make sure to fill working Email ID or and Email IDs of the parents.
- Fill in WhatsApp Mobile Number and the parent’s Telephone Number/Mobile Number to receive information.
- And fill the option of hostel accommodation with such as particulars of Local Guardian (resident of Chandigarh/Mohali/ Panchkula only).
- Fill in bank details such as Bank Name, Account Number, IFSC Code of Branch and Aadhar Card Number (if allotted), EPIC Number (Voter Card number if allotted), Ration card details (if any).
Step 4: Upload Certificates/Testimonials, Scanned Photograph, and Signature
Upload a set of scanned original testimonials/certificates in PDF file format along with the filled admission form.
- Matriculation Certificate for Date of Birth
- Class XII Marks Certificate.
- University/ Board DMC of the lower examination.
- Character Certificate from the institution last attended or from a Gazetted Officer in case of private candidates.
- Migration Certificate/ Inter-University Migration Certificate.
- Caste Certificate in case of Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe/Physically Challenged Persons/ Sports/ Defence/ Freedom Fighter’s Ward/ Kashmiri Displaced Person’s Ward/ Descendants of Kargil Martyrs/ Single Girl Child/ One out of only Two Girl Children/ Cancer/ AIDS/ Thalassemia Patients/ Border Area/ Rural Area/ Excelled in Youth Festival.
- Sports Gradation Certificate issued from Chandigarh Sports Department for both U.T Pool and General Pool applicants.
- Equivalence Certificate from Punjab University of the last course passed by the applicant (where required).
- Scanned passport size photograph, applicant’s signature, the signature of parent/guardian of maximum size 50kb
Points to Remember:
- Download Provisional Admission Form after the display of allotment of colleges
- The admission process will be based on merit which will be calculated based on the marks acquired in the qualifying examination.
- Weightage, wherever appropriate, will be given as per Punjab University, Chandigarh norms.
- Two original affidavits will be attached with the application form if there is a gap year/year. Applicants with gap years will not be given admission to any college until the gap is explained to the convener of the admission committee of the concerned college.

Counseling Process:

- To acquire admission to the eligible candidates, the authority will commence counseling.
- Make sure to appear for counseling on the allotted day/date/time.
- There will be a document verification process and seat allotment process.
- Appear with original and photocopy documents to the University.
- After documents are verified, the seat will be allotted to the candidates
- Original documents will be returned after the verification process gets over.
- Candidates will avail themselves of seats in the institution.
