DUET 2022: The Delhi University Entrance Test or DUET is organized for the aspirants who want to enrol themselves in different colleges under Delhi University. In 2022 DUET will take place in June. Candidates willing to apply for undergraduate, postgraduate, MPhil and Ph.D. can seat for this test. 101 exam centres in 18 cities conduct this exam. It is usually co-ordinated in 3 shifts. NTA or National Testing Agency plays a major role in conducting the examination Candidates have to fetch the online application form to register for the entrance test. DUET 2022 Application Form:
The first and major step towards seeking admission under Delhi University is by registering on the official website. Only by registering on Delhi University’s admission portal candidates can acquire the application form for DUET. For both undergraduate and postgraduate programmes there are separate admission portals. In the application form a candidate must furnish all the details required regarding the candidate’s name, address, parent’s name, contact number, education details, etc. After furnishing the details in the application form candidates have to scan and upload all necessary documents. The application fee must be paid after this. Candidates must be cautious while completing the form. After submitting a scanned picture, signature and other vital information with the application fees the entire process application submission gets completed. Applicants are instructed to cross-check the completed form before submission of the application fees. The photograph and scanned signature that the candidate will be submitting with the application form must be within 50KB in size and should be JPEG/JPG/PNG format.
DUET Application Fee:
A mandatory fee is there which all applicants need to pay for submitting the form. The application form will not be considered without an application fee. For General/OBC candidates the application fee is Rs 750/- at the undergraduate level and for SC/ST/PwD candidates the fee is Rs 300/-. For postgraduate courses application fees are Rs.750 for General/OBC candidates and for ST/SC/EWS/PWD applicants the fees are Rs.350.

Eligibility Criteria:
The Eligibility Criterion differs for candidates applying for varied courses through DUET.
- Candidates securing 60% in four subjects for Senior Secondary are eligible to apply for BA Honours, Social Science & Humanities stream.
- Candidates with 60% marks in aggregate for class 12th can apply for the B.Tech course. Applicants must have maths as one of their compulsory subjects.
- For applicants in Multimedia and Mass Communication 75% score in four subjects in Senior Secondary Examination is desirable. Candidates applying for these courses must have 85% in English as well.
- For LLB applicants 50% score in graduation is required for the general category.SC/ST category candidates with 40% marks and 45% for OBC is eligible to apply.
- Candidates with 3/5 years LLB with a 50% score are required for the general category.SC/ST category candidates with 40% marks and 45% for OBC are eligible to seat for DUET.
- MCA applicants must have 60% marks in their graduation. They need to have Mathematical Science as one of their papers in graduation.
- M.Com applicants in the general category must have 50% in graduation with Commerce. 45% for OBC and 40% for SC or ST candidates is desirable.
- MEd applicants must possess 50% marks in BABED/BEIEd/Bed.
Exam Pattern:
The offline examination will be conducted for DUET applicants. For every correct answer candidates can fetch 4 marks whereas for each incorrect answer 1 mark will be subtracted. There will be a total of 150 questions that the examinees need to answer within 2 ½ hours. Questions will differ based on the subject the candidate is applying for. National Testing Agency or NTA looks after the undergraduate entrance exam of Delhi University. Finalizing the exam dates to exam pattern everything is conducted by NTA from 2019.
For BBA or BMS, the entrance examination mode will be online for 2 hours. These candidates need to answer 100 MCQ questions which will be divided into 4 parts. BBA/ BMS applicants will have 25 questions on each section comprising Quantitative Ability, General English, Analytical Ability & Reasoning and General Awareness & Business. Compared to other BBA entrance candidates applying for the UG BBA category the difficulty level will be a little higher. But following NTA rule Delhi University gives a weight of 35% from senior secondary marks. So candidates with little less score in the entrance examination may get a fair chance to study in their desired BBA or BBS colleges.

The syllabus for the Delhi University Entrance Test will be based on the subject applied by the candidate. For undergraduate courses candidates will have questions of senior secondary standard and for post-graduation courses candidates need to answer the graduation level questions of Delhi University. Admit Card:
DUET 2022 Admit Card will be obtainable a few days before the examination. Candidates can download admit card of DUET 2022 from the official website Candidates must take their admit cards along with them to the examination centre. Candidates can avail the Admit cards through online mode and no other offline alternatives are there for the collection of the same. After receiving the admit card candidates must go through every detail provided there. The admit card will have the following details:
- Candidate’s name,
- Registration number,
- Date of Birth,
- Name of the exam centre,
- Date of admission test and
- Examination time.
Result:
The result for DUET 2022 will be available online on the official website of Delhi University. By entering their roll numbers candidates can check their results. The merit list will be announced only after the official release of the DUET results.
Cut off
Duet qualified candidates will have a separate merit list while the rank holders in a similar examination will have another merit list for them. The rank holders will be called for the counselling session by the university for their desired courses. The university will issue the cutoff list simultaneously with the results. The qualifying marks or cut off are announced on the official site. This cut off marks can change depending on the number of candidates applying for the degree, number of successful candidates in that particular year, the difficulty level of question paper, etc. Reserved categories also get some relaxation in the cut off marks.
Answer Key:
The answer key comes up with all the answers to the questions asked in the examination paper. Instantly after the conclusion of the examination candidates can have the answer key from the official website. At that time candidates can forward their objection on any of the answers pertaining to the answer key. The answers will then be cross-examined to provide a proper explanation to the candidates who have raised objections. The final answer key will only be declared only after all the objections have been sorted out.
