ESIC Exam 2022 Application Fee:

• Estimate Application fee for all other categories will be Rs.500/-
• For SC/ST/PWD/Ex-Servicemen/ Departmental Candidates, it will be 250/-
• Women will be exempted from paying any money for the application fee

Eligibility Criteria:

Upper Division Clerk (UDC)

• A degree of a recognized University or equivalent.
• Working knowledge of computers including the use of office suites and databases.
• Age Limit: Between 18 to 27 years

Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS)

• Matriculation or equivalent pass from recognized Board.
• Age Limit: Between 18 to 25 years

Stenographer

• 12th class pass or equivalent from a recognized Board or University.
• Skill Test Norms: Dictation: 10 Minutes @ 80 words per minute. Transcription: 50 minutes (English), 65 minutes (Hindi) (Only on computers)
• Age Limit: Between 18 to 27 years

Selection Process

• UDC Post – Preliminary Examination, Mains Examination, Computer Skill Test
• For Stenographer Post – Main Examination, Skill Test in Stenography
• For MTS Post – Preliminary Examination, Mains Examination

Exam Pattern:

After you apply for the examination, you must go through the exam pattern.

ESIC UDC & Stenographer Exam Pattern:-

Phase I – Main Examination

• English Language & Comprehension will have 100 Questions for 100 marks for the time duration of 70 minutes
•  Reasoning Ability will have 50 Questions for 50 marks for 35 minutes
•  General Awareness will have 50 Questions for 50 marks for 25 minutes
• Scores acquired in Phase I will be considered for final selection. For every incorrect answer, there will be a negative marking of one-fourth of the mark allotted to that question.

Phase II – Computer Skill Test & Stenography Test 

Computer Skill Test (Qualifying in nature)

•  Description of Test – Marks –
•  Preparation of 02 PowerPoints Slides for 10 marks
• Typing matter on Microsoft Word along with formatting for 20 marks
• Preparation of Table on Microsoft Excel with use of formulae for 20 marks
• Time Duration will be 30 minutes

Stenography Test – Stenography Test will be for 10 minutes with a speed of 80 words/minute in English or Hindi and transcription on the computer for an hour. The candidate will be required to transcribe the entire matter in the duration of 85 minutes for English Shorthand or else in 95 minutes for Hindi Shorthand for the post of Stenographer.

Qualifying Marks – Qualifying Marks in Phase-I as well as in Phase-II Examination will be determined of ESIC.

FOR UPPER DIVISION CLERK (UDC)

Phase I – Preliminary Examination

• Time Duration – 1 hour
•  Name of the Test (Objective Tests) – No. of Qs – Max Marks
•  General Intelligence and Reasoning will consist of 25 Questions for 50 marks
• General Awareness will have 25 Questions for 50 Marks
• Quantitative Aptitude will have Questions for 50 Marks
• English Comprehension 25 Questions for 50 Marks
• Total marks will be 200

Phase II – Main Examination:

•  Time Duration – 2 hours
• General Intelligence and Reasoning will have 50 Questions for 50 marks.
• General Awareness will have 50 Questions for 50 marks.
• Quantitative Aptitude will have 50 Questions for 50 marks.
• English Comprehension will have 50 Questions for 50 marks.
• Total marks will be 200

Phase III – Computer Skill Test

Time Duration – 30 minutes

• Preparation of 02 PowerPoints Slides for 10 Marks
• Typing matter on MS Word with formatting for 20 Marks
• Preparation of Table on MS Excel with use of formulae for 20 Marks
• Total Marks-50 Marks
• For every incorrect answer, there will be a deduction of one-fourth mark.

Admit Card:

Admit cards will be released through the official portal. The candidate is not allowed to appear for the exam without this important card. You will receive this card, 10 days before the date of the exam. You will come across the following details in the admit card:

• Name of the candidate
• Signature of the candidate
• Registration number/ Roll number
• Date of birth/ Password
• Space for Invigilator’s signature
• Email address
• Mobile number, etc.

Answer Key:

Those who have given the ESIC examination will seek answer keys via the official portal. With the help of the answer key, you will get a fair idea of the scores attained in the exam. Download the ESIC answer key as per the sets (Set A, B, C, D, etc.) and compare the answers.

ESIC Recruitment 2022 Result:

There will be an announcement of the result through the official portal. The release of the merit list comprises of name and roll number of those who have cleared the written examination and chosen for the next round of the exam.

Cut Off:

Cut-off marks denotes the minimum marks obtained in the examination. The cut-off marks vary from year to year, entirely based on the level of difficulty in the paper, vacancies, and the number of candidates appearing in the examination.
