FDDI AIST 2022: The full form of FDDI is “Footwear Design and Development Institute” and AIST means “All India Selection Test”. FDDI AIST is a national-level entrance test conducted every year and is controlled by the Footwear Design and Development Institute to select eligible students for various Undergraduate and Postgraduate courses. FDDI offers Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree programmes in the areas of Footwear Design & Production, Fashion Design, Retail & Fashion Merchandise, and Leather Goods & Accessories Design, besides offering short term Industry specific programmes. Given below are the details of the examination:

• 11th June 2022: FDDI AIST 2022 Admit Card is going to release on 11th June 2022.
• 16th May 2022: AIST FDDI 2022 Application Form has been released and the last date to apply is 10th June 2022

FDDI AIST 2022 Application Form:

• The application form for FDDI AIST 2022 will be available in the month of February 2022 on the official website fddiindia.com of the authority.
• The interested candidates appearing for the first time have to enter as “New Candidate” on the website.
• All the instructions must be read carefully and the declaration should be accepted in order to proceed with the application form.
• The personal and educational details and the details of the programme applied for should be furnished by the candidates.
• The photograph, signature, and the documents if required should be uploaded by the candidates in the format JPG and JPEG of dimensions width X height 2.5 X 3 cm and resolution 200 dpi.
• Then the application page should be submitted.
• A unique login ID and password is generated and sent to the candidates via SMS and E-mail.
• Thus the registration process is completed. Then the candidates shall receive a confirmation for the registration through E-mail and a link for the payment of the application fee for the FDDI 2022.
• After successful payment of FDDI 2022, the candidates should take out the printout of the confirmation page which could be used for references in the future. The last date of submitting the application form will be in the month of April 2022.

Application Fee:

• The Application fee should be paid through credit/debit cards only.
• Application Fee for General/ OBC (Non-Creamy)/ GEN-EWS Category: Rs. 600/-
• Application Fee for SC/ ST/ PWD Category: Rs. 300/-

FDDI 2022 Eligibility Criteria:

For Undergraduate Programs:

• The maximum age limit of the candidate to apply for the UG program is 25 Years as of 25th June 2022.
• The candidate must have successfully completed class XII.
• Those who are appearing in 10+2 are also eligible to apply.

For Post Graduate Programs:

• There is no age limit to apply for PG programs
• Educational Qualification for M. Des.- Footwear Design & Production: candidate must have successfully completed graduation in Footwear / Engineering / LGAD / Design / Production / Technology or some other related programme.
• Educational Qualification for M.Des- CAD: Candidate must have successfully completed graduation in Footwear / LGAD / Production / Design / Engineering / Technology/Fine arts or another related program.
• Educational Qualification for M.B.A (Retail & Fashion Merchandise): candidate must have been a graduate in any discipline to apply.

Exam Pattern

• The FDDI AIST will be held online mode.
• The duration of the examination will be two and a half hours.
• The medium of question will be Hindi and English languages.
• The questions will be of MCQ (Multiple Choice Questions) type.
• The number of questions will be 200 distributed in the subjects of Quantitative Aptitude (50 marks), Verbal Ability (50 marks), General Awareness (50 marks), and Business Aptitude Test Section D (BAT) for B.Des – RFM or Design Aptitude Test (DAT) for Design Programmes (B.Des-FDP, B.Des-LGAD, and B.Des-FD).
• Each question carries 1 mark and there is no negative marking system for any incorrect answer.

Admit Card:

The Admit Card for FDDI 2022 shall be available on the official website www.fddiindia.com. The candidates are advised to download their admit card from the site. For downloading the admit card they are required to enter their login ID and password. The admit card must be carried by the candidates for entry to the examination hall. Nobody will be allowed to enter the examination hall without an authentic admit card.

Result:

The result of FDDI AIST 2022 will be released by FDDI on its official website. The result can be checked by entering the login ID and password. A merit list shall be released by the FDDI on the basis of the performance of the candidates in the FDDI AIST 2022. The candidates are finally selected after counselling, when they are required to pay the initial fee to reserve the course seat. The result can be downloaded so that the candidates can take the print out.

Counselling:

The successful candidates who appear on the merit list are required to appear in the counselling of FDDI AIST 2022. The selected candidates should report at the counselling venue as per schedule. The candidates should bring along with them the relevant documents. During counselling the candidates have to provide their programme and campus preferences. The candidates shall be allotted a seat on the basis of their merit rank and preferences. Once a seat is allotted the candidates are required to pay a non-refundable amount fee immediately to confirm their acceptance of the allotted seat.

Documents Required at the Time of Counselling: For Undergraduate Programme the Following Documents are Required:

• The attested mark sheet and certificates of the 10^th and 12^th
• Four recent passport size color photographs.
• Character certificate from the principal of the last attended school/college or from any Gazetted Officer.
• Medical Fitness Certificate/Undertaking of medical fitness in the original.
• Cast Certificate or Disability Certificate (if applicable) by any Competent Authority of the respective State/ Union Territories (if applicable).
