FMGE 2023: The FMGE exam will be conducted twice a year, i.e., in June and December. FMGE stands for Foreign Medical Graduate Examination. It is a national-level examination commenced by the National Board of Examinations (NBE). FMGE enables candidates to obtain both permanent and provisional registration with the Medical Council of India. Complete details about the examination are mentioned below:

FMGE 2023 Application Form:
- Candidates are required to fill out the application form via online mode.
- In the application form, fill all the details such as personal details and academic details aptly.
- Upload the passport-size photograph and signature.
- There will be no correction facility once the application is submitted.
- Submit the form on time and before submitting, take a printout of the application form for further reference.
- As soon as the application form is submitted, the candidate will submit all the crucial photocopies of the documents to the authority (NBE) via email.
The list of documents is mentioned below:
- A copy of the MBBS pass certificate by the Embassy/Apostilled
- A copy of the MBBS passed degree (in English/ Hindi)
- A Copy of the date of birth proof
- Copy of passport
- Two photographs
- Copy of X and XII certificates and mark sheets
- A Copy of the eligibility criteria issued by the medical council of India
- Copy of internship certificate
- Copy of failed certificate/result for ex-candidates
Application Fee:
Candidates are required to submit the application fee via online mode, debit card, credit card, and net banking.
- The application fee will be non-refundable.
- The application fee for FMGE will be Rs.7080/-.

Steps To Apply for FMGE 2023 Exam:
- Visit the official website @ www.nbe.edu.in.
- On the home page, click on the FMGE 2023 Session.
- The Information Bulletin of FMGE will be opened.
- Click on the apply button.
- Enter your User ID and Password to register the account.
- Then enter all the details in the application form.
- Upload the required documents.
- Click on the Submit Button.
- Take the printout of the application form for further use.
FMGE 2023 Eligibility Criteria:
- The candidate should be a citizen of India as well as an overseas citizen of India.
- Candidate must have primary medical qualification approved by the Indian embassy concerned, recognized qualification from the medical practitioner in the country.
- It is mandatory to provide documentary evidence of having passed the final examination for primary medical qualifications on or before the cut-off date.
- The cut-off date for seeking the Primary Medical Qualification must be on or prior last week of November 2023.
- Those who have provisional registration are not required to qualify for the screening test they hold under graduation medical tests from countries like Canada, New Zealand, the United Kingdom, and the United States of America will be considered for enrolment as a medical practitioner in India.
Exam Pattern:
- FMGE examination will commence via online mode.
- Questions in the paper will appear in multiple-choice questions based.
- The exam duration will be 150 minutes for each section.
- There will be a total of 300 questions in the examination.
- The question paper will be asked in the English language.
- There will be no negative marking if the answer is incorrect.
- Candidates can appear in the exam as many times as the need is felt.

Admit Card:
The candidate will receive an exam admit card after submitting the application form. Candidates can collect Admit Card seven days before the day of the examination. The Candidates are required to carry the admit card to the examination hall on the examination day. Candidates must paste the latest photograph on the admit card. It is also crucial to carry Id proof with the admit card. Take a printout of the admit card for further reference.
Result:
Check the exam result via online mode after the exam gets over. Make sure to check the details carefully and those who pass the examination with at least 150 marks out of 300 will be considered valid for moving further. To check the exam results, enter login details. It is important to fetch the printout of the result for further proceedings. Exam result is inclusive of marks obtained by the candidates in the exam etc.
Cut Off:
After the exam result is declared, the cut-off will be released by the exam conducting authority. Candidates are required to score cut-off marks for qualifying for the examination. Cut-off will also be published via online mode. The criteria of the cut-off will also be decided by the exam conducting body.
FMGE Provisional Registration:
Those who will qualify for the examination will register with the secretary of the medical council of India, New Delhi, or any other state of India for FMGE 2023 provisional registration. Candidates are required to apply for provisional or permanent registration, as it is compulsory. Make sure of paying the required registration fees in favor of the medical council of India. Those who qualify for the cut-off marks will seek a one-year internship. After the internship gets completed, candidates will register under the MCI.
