Gauhati University B.Ed 2022: Guwhati University conducts Gauhati University B.Ed Entrance Test. This test is conducted to shortlist the candidates for the various UG programs. To take admission to the B.Ed program of the University, the candidates will have to qualify for the entrance test. The candidates will have to download the application form from the official website of the University.
Application Form:
The application form will be released by the university in the online mode only. To fill up the application form, you will have to follow the steps given below:
- To download the application form, the candidates will have to first visit the official website of the university and click on the B.Ed application form link
- The candidate will then have to provide all the necessary personal, educational, and also the other contact details correctly.
- The candidates need to provide all the authentic details because the details in the form will be verified with the documents at a later stage of the application process
- Apart from the details, the candidates will also have to upload the scanned copy of their signature and their passport size photographs.
- After filling up the application form, the candidate will have to pay the application fee and keep the hard copy of the form for future references

The application fee is Rs. 1000 and there are additional bank transaction charges.

Eligibility Criteria:
There are some very strict rules that the university follows. The candidates who want to get admission to this university will have to meet the eligibility criteria.
- The candidate needs to have a graduation degree in the respective stream from a recognized institute
- The candidate will have to get a minimum aggregate of around 50% and 45% for the candidates belonging to the reserved category
- The candidates who are appearing for the final year are also eligible to apply for this examination

- This is an offline examination and it is based on the OMR sheets
- The candidate has to answer objective type of questions
- There is a total of 100 questions and the medium of language is English
- There is a total of 400 marks
- The candidate gets 4 marks for each correct answer
- For every wrong answer, 1 mark will be deducted.

- Current Indian Education (Issues and Policies): National Policy on Education 1986, Universalization of Elementary Education – Right to Education, Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA) Secondary Education – Rashtriya Madhyamik Shiksha Abhiyan (RMSA).
- General Knowledge: Indian History, Indian Polity, General Science, Current affairs.
- General English: Vocabulary, Tense, Voice, Narration, Prepositions Correction of sentences, Comprehension.
- Test of Reasoning and Numerical Ability
Admit Card:
The candidates will be able to get the admit card once the process of filling up the application form is over. The candidate will be able to download the application form from the official website of the university. The admit card will have all the necessary details like the candidate’s personal details, the venue, the time, the examination center, etc. To download the admit card, the candidate will have to follow the steps mentioned below:
- The candidate will have to first visit the official website and click on the updated link
- Click on the link “download admit card” on the home page
- All the important information like the date of birth, the application number, and the password have to be put in.
- Then click on “Login”
- The candidate will be able to view the admit card on the screen after entering the application number
- The candidate must take at least 2 copies of the admit card for future references
Result:
The university releases the merit list in the form of a result. This list consists of the names of all the candidates who have qualified for the examination. The candidates who have their names in the merit list will be eligible for further counseling.
In case there is a tie-breaking between 2 candidates then the university authorities will do the following:
- Candidates having a higher ratio of the negative-positive marking will be taken into consideration.
- If the resolution is to arrive with sections, then the candidate will have to take Section A, B, C and D into consideration
- The examining authority will be taking the final decision
