GIC Recruitment Exam Pattern: After the notification of GIC Recruitment, candidates started getting perplexed as they are not aware of the exam pattern. The preparation of the examination brings curiosity as what the question paper-like, what would be the time slot and so on. Thus make sure for catching the complete info about the pattern of the examination and catch the best results.

GIC Recruitment Exam Pattern:

General Stream Aspirants:

  • Part A consisted of the Objective of the overall 40 marks. The questions will appear from Higher Order Reasoning Ability/Critical Thinking. There will be 40 questions in this part.
  • Part B comprises 20 questions for 20 marks. This part is divided into four parts such as Test of English Language, the Test of Reasoning, Test of General Awareness, and Test of Numerical Ability & Computer Literacy
  • Part C consisted of Descriptive which includes Test in English Language – Essay, precise and Comprehension for 30 marks.

Some Crucial Points related to Exam:

  • Part B as well as Part C are common for all the candidates without any discrimination of streams. If you attempt the incorrect answer then there will be a marks deduction. The candidate needs to come across the penalty of ¼ marks for the incorrect answer.
  • The question paper will appear in two different languages such as Hindi and English. However, the English language needs to be attempted via those as well who have applied for the Hindi language while filling the application form. Candidates are needed to score the minimum possible marks applicable for clearing the examination.
  • The descriptive test will appear in the online mode. Questions will appear on the computer and the candidate is required to type the answer via keyboard. Make sure to check the key functions of the keyboard
  • Candidates are required to complete the question paper within 150 minutes. Time distribution includes 30 minutes for Domain knowledge, 60 minutes for Part B i.e. objective, 60 minutes for Part C which is descriptive.
  • Before the start of typing answers to questions in the Descriptive Paper of the GIC Assistant Manager exam, please check all key functions of the keyboard. Total test timings given to the candidate to complete the paper will be 150 minutes. 30 minutes for Domain knowledge, 60 minutes for Part B objective and 60 minutes for Part C (descriptive).
  • Those who are shortlisted for Group Discussion, as well as the interview on basis of the attained marks in both descriptive as well as objective, will be taken for 150.
