Just like any other government job examination, even the GIC Exam Eligibility Criteria is divided into three categories age, educational qualification, and nationality.
Age – According to guidelines applicants of age between 21 to 30 years can only sit for GIC Exam. Age relaxation is given to reserve candidates coming in the reservation category
It is 5 years of maximum age relation for scheduled caste and scheduled tribes. 3 years of age relation on maximum end is given other backward class category aspirants. Age relaxation is given to Widows, Ex-Army persons, and the person with a disability. To avail benefit of age relaxation candidate has to submit a supporting document at the time of the interview. Candidates applying for the GIC Exam have to hold the degree of bachelor from any recognized university. It is the minimum qualification to sit in the exam. Bachelor’s degree could be in any discipline. Here minimum score to apply for the exam is 50 percent. For a reserve candidate, relaxation is given on the minimum score. To have complete and accurate details about the minimum cut-out for reserve candidates, it is recommended to refer to the notification.
Nationality or Citizenship – Nationality is another mandatory criterion for the GIC Recruitment 2023 Examination. In addition to aspirants of India, even the residents of some other countries too are allowed to appear than in the exam. Non-Indian aspirants need to check eligibility criteria for citizenship in notification before filling the form

Other than these two sources there is no third reliable source to check exam details. Notification for the exam of GIC Officers generally releases in February.

The selection process of GIC Officers comprises three phases. First preliminary test where the written exam is taken, qualified aspirants go for the second phase i.e. group discussion. Candidates who clear the group discussion round are called for an interview and upon selection, they are posted in different offices.
The Examination Pattern of the G.I.C. Officer Exam is a bit different than the bank examination. However, the reasoning, general awareness, and English section are there in the question paper. Thus with some more preparation candidates who want to make a career in the banking sector can appear for GIC Officer 2023 Examination too.
