GIET University Admission 2023 Application Process:
The application process for GIET University Admission 2023 is both an online and offline process. Applicants may apply online or may download the application form through the official website. Here is the step-by-step process:
Online Application Process:
- First, go to the GIET University website i.e. https://www.giet.edu/
- Now, click on the ‘Admission Open 2023 Apply Now’ tab.
- Register on the GIET application portal using an email id.
- After this, login with the email id and password.
- Start filling out the application form.
- Once the application form is filled in, click the ‘Submit’ button.
- Take a print of the duly filled application form
Offline Application Process:
- Download the application form from the GIET website by filling in the basic information.
- Take a print of the application form and fill in the details in it.
- Affix the latest colored passport-size photograph and send the form to the below-mentioned address:

B.Tech Admission:
GIET offers a four-year, full-time B.Tech programme which is divided into 8 semesters. The programme is accredited by the National Board of Accreditation, AICTE, Govt. of India. The B. Tech comes in 11 specializations. Given below are the eligibility criteria and seat intake of each specialization:
- The Qualifying exam for B. Tech GIETEE/JEE Main
- Applicants appearing for GIETEE 2023 must have completed appearing or completed in any one of the following qualifying examinations:
- Class 12 by the State Board, Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE, New Delhi), The Council for Indian School Certificate Examination (ISCE, New Delhi)
- Or, two-year Pre-University exam commenced by a recognized Board/University
- HSC Exam of the Cambridge University or International Baccalaureate Diploma of the International Baccalaureate Organization, Geneva
- General Certificate Education (GCE) examination (London/ Cambridge/ Srilanka) at the Advanced (A) level
- As per GIET University norms, NIOS candidates are eligible to apply and they must submit the migration-cum-transfer certificate at the time of admission
- For Petrochem & Petroleum Refinery Engineering, applicants must have cleared XII in the Science stream with a minimum 50% aggregate in PCM and English subjects.
- Computer Science Technology requires minimum Class 12 or equivalent with at least 45% aggregate with PCM as mandatory subjects.
BBA Admission:
BBA is a three 3-year professional undergraduate course in the stream of Business Management. It provides various specializations. The eligibility conditions include class XII from Arts, Commerce, or Science stream with at least 50% aggregate scores. Here is the list of Specializations:

BCA Admission:
BCA or Bachelor of Computer Application is a 3 year undergraduate degree course in Computer Applications. The eligibility criteria include class XII or equivalent examination with Mathematics as one of the subjects with at least 50% aggregate.
B.Sc (Hons) Admission:
B. Sc (Hons) is a 4-year full-time regular programme. It provides one specialization, i.e. Agriculture. The eligibility conditions include the completion of GIETEE or appearing in 2022, in any one of the given below examinations:
- Class 12 examination commenced by the State Board, Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE, New Delhi), the Council for Indian School Certificate Examination (ISCE, New Delhi)
- Intermediate or two-year pre-university examination conducted by the recognized Board/University
- As per GIET University norms, NIOS applicants may also apply by submitting migration-cum-transfer certificate at the time of admission
MBA Admission:
At the post-graduate level, the university offers 2 year MBA programme through GIET’s School of Management Studies (SMS). The programme appears in 12 specializations. These specializations, eligibility, and selection criteria are mentioned below:

Selection is based on the ranks acquired in GIETEE/ CMAT/ MAT/ CAT/ XAT/ OJEE. Besides this, 50% of seats are reserved for the OJEE Counseling process, and of the rest, 50% seats are filled up by counseling by GIET University on the rank obtained in GIETEE
M.Tech Admission:
M. Tech is offered in 10 specializations:

MA Admission:
GIET offers a 2 year full-time MA programme in three specializations along with the eligibility criteria:
- Economics: Applicants appearing in UG class final board exams in any of the streams such as Arts, Science, Commerce, etc may apply.
- Education: Candidate must have done graduation in any discipline with at least 50% aggregate
- English: Applicant must be a graduate from any recognized university or UGC/ AICTE recognized institute/college in any stream with English as the mandatory subject with at least 50% aggregate or CGPA of 5.5 for Gen/OBC and 45% marks or CGPA of 5.0 for SC/ST category
M.Sc Admission:
It is a two-year full-time PG level programme in five specializations given below:
- Chemistry: Applicant must have done graduation in Science from some recognized college/university with at least 50-60% in aggregate.
- Biotechnology: Candidate must have done B.Sc in Biotechnology/Biochemistry/ Microbiology/Botany/Zoology/Physics/Chemistry/Environmental Sciences/ Agriculture/BVSc/BTech Biotechnology/BPharma/BAMS/BHMS/BPT/ any other related discipline with at least 45%
- Physics: Applicant must have done graduation in Science from the recognized college/university with minimum aggregate 50-60%
- Life Sciences: Applicant must have done graduation in Science from some recognized college/university with at least 50-60% aggregate marks
- Mathematics: Candidate must be a graduate in Science from some recognized college/university with a minimum of 50-60% marks.
