GKCIET Admission 2022: GKCIET or Ghani Khan Choudhury Institute of Engineering & Technology was established in 2010 in Malda. It offers as many as 5 Diploma courses and 3 Bachelor of Technology programs. The B.Tech programs are specifically affiliated to the Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology (MAKAUT), West Bengal whereas 3-year diploma programs are affiliated to the West Bengal State Council of Technical & Vocational Education and Skill Development (WBSCT&VE&SD), Kolkata. The applicant must be a citizen of India to apply for GKCIET
Diploma:
- To apply for a Diploma course, the minimum qualification is class X or its equivalent exam with subjects such as English, Physical Science/Science (Physics & Chemistry), and Mathematics from a State Secondary Education Board/ National Open School/ CBSE/ICSE or equivalent. The applicant must have attained at least 35% marks in aggregate as per AICTE norms excluding marks of the subjects taken as additional.
- Those who have appeared or appeared in the Secondary or Equivalent exam in 2021 with subjects such as English, Physical Science/Science (Physics & Chemistry), and Mathematics may also apply. They must have attained at least 35% marks in aggregate.
- There is no upper age limit to apply for Diploma courses.
B.Tech:
- To apply for B.Tech (4 years Programme), the applicant must have completed class XII with subjects such as Physics & Mathematics as mandatory subjects along with at least one from Chemistry/Biotechnology /Biology /Technical Vocational subject.
- The course provides the Specializations in Electrical Engineering, Food Technology/Food Processing Technology, and Mechanical Engineering
- The selection of the candidates is based on WBJEE Counseling / JEE (Main) Counseling (JoSAA/ CSAB)
Certificate:
- The certificate course duration is 2 years
- To apply for the certificate course, the applicant must have completed class X with mandatory subjects such as English, Mathematics, and Science from a State Secondary Education Board/CBSE/ICSE/National Open School or equivalent
- The specialization includes Construction Technology, Computer Applications, Servicing and Maintenance of Electrical Appliances, Food Processing, and Preservation, Repairing and Maintenances of Auto and Farm Machineries, Chemical Technology and Sericulture & Textile Technology
- Candidates’ selection will be based on National Level Entrance Test (GET-I)

Pattern:
The examination pattern is crucial information to be reached to the applicants on time. Here it is explained:
- The paper will have Multiple Choice Questions
- Candidates need to complete the paper in 120 minutes.
- The candidate will get 1 mark for every correct answer and there will be a deduction of 0.25 marks on every incorrect answer.
- The question paper is divided into Paper 1 and Paper 2
About Paper 1:
- The total number of questions will be 50
- Paper will appear in the English language only.
- Paper 1 will have a Maths section (50)
About Paper 2:

Admit Card:
Those who have successfully paid the application fee will receive the admit card by email. The individual eligible applicant can file the request to the University’s official email address [email protected]. Result:
Those who are appearing in the entrance test for Diploma Programs can check to get the result via email. The admission will be made on the merit determined for admission by the Institute. The result will be provided in the online mode.
