GLAT 2021GLAT 2023: Geeta Institute of Law conducts the Geeta Law Admission Test or GLAT every year for candidates seeking admission in five years integrated programme in Law. It is affiliated to Kurukshetra University. GLAT follows the offline mode of examination with 100 objective questions each carrying 1 mark. Candidates will be judged on the basis of scores obtained both in written examination and personal interviews. GLAT is organised in various parts of India. The top two GLAT scorers get a chance to achieve a GLAT scholarship of Rs. 30,000/- to continue their course in B.A.LLB (Hons) or BBA LLB (Hons) from Geeta Institute of Law.

GLAT 2023 Application Form:

GLAT releases both online and offline GLAT 2023 Application Form. Candidates can acquire their application forms by following the details given below:

Via Online Mode:

Candidates have to go to the official website of the Geeta Institute of Law to press the APPLY ONLINE button. CREATE ACCOUNT is mandatory but candidates who were registered earlier can login with their user id. Basic information is required for the candidates registering for the first time. By clicking the REGISTER ME option candidates can fill up their application form. The last or final step of the online application form is to pay the application fee through debit or credit card.

Via Offline Mode:

Candidates applying through offline mode have to download the application form from the official website by clicking the APPLY OFFLINE button. After filling the form and enclosing it with all necessary documents aspirants need to post it to the Institute. A demand draft of the application fee must be attached in favour of the institute.

GLAT 2023 Application Fee:

Application fee of Rs.1200 can be submitted with the application form both by online or offline mode. A demand draft is necessary to submit in case of depositing the offline application fee.

Eligibility Criteria:

The eligibility criteria for the students opting for 5 years integrated undergraduate programme in Law are as follows:

  1. Candidates must qualify their senior secondary or class 12th examination from any recognized board.
  2. A score of at least 45% in aggregate is desirable.
  3. Final year senior secondary students are also eligible to apply.
  4. The age of the candidate applying for the course must not be more than 20 years as on Ist July 2023. Reserved category candidates can apply within 22 years of age.

For LL.B degree a candidate must have done graduation in any subject with at least 45% marks in aggregate. Final year graduate candidates can also apply for GLAT. For 2 years LL.M degree candidates need to have a 55% score in LL.B. Both for LL.B and LL.M there is no such limit for the aspirants.

Exam Pattern:

There will be a total of 200 questions the candidates need to answer within the given time frame. The examination paper will be divided into four sections comprising 50 questions from each section. The questions carry one mark each for 200 marks paper. The four sections are listed below:

  • Legal Aptitude
  • Logical Reasoning

Syllabus:

In order to qualify candidates to have to follow GLAT prescribed syllabus. The official website gives a clear picture of the entire GLAT Syllabus. Students may also refer below to have a quick glance at the topics involved in the syllabus.

English curriculum consists of Antonyms, Synonyms, Grammar, Fill in the blanks, correction of given sentences, etc.

General Knowledge includes Social science, Physical Geography, World and Indian Geography, Technology & Science, and so on.

Legal Aptitude focuses on Family Law, Supreme Court Verdicts, Indian penal Code, Indian Contract Act, Law of torts, etc.

Logical Reasoning includes letter series, coding and decoding, number series, symbols & notions, and so on.

Admit Card:

The admit card for GLAT 2023 will be released in May through online mode. Candidates need to login to the official website to acquire the same. Candidates will get the admit cards 3 to 4 days before the exam commences. The admit cards will only be issued to the candidates who have completed the form successfully before the stipulated due date. In order to download the admit card applicants need to go to the official website and press the link to admit card. In the new window, they have to provide their application id number or date of birth. Candidates can download it after going through all the details provided in the admit card. For any incorrect entry in the admit card candidates can immediately approach the officials. Candidates must carry the admit card along with them to the examination centre as without a valid admit card he/she will not be permitted to sit for the examination. GLAT admit card will have a candidate’s name, registration number, Date of Birth, name of the exam center, date of admission test, and the exam time.

Result:

GLAT 2023 result will be announced online. The official website will publish the merit list where only the names of selected candidates will be there. Candidates need to login to the official website to check their online results. By clicking the GLAT RESULT button candidates can download the pdf format of the result. Candidates are advised to check their name, roll number and rank after they download the result. After personal interview and counselling session selected students must carry the original as well as the Xerox copy of class 10th and 12th report cards. Along with these, they need to bring 10 passport size photographs, character certificates, and migration certificates. A caste certificate is mandatory for the students belonging to reserved categories.

Cut off:

GLAT cut-off marks are based on certain features and depending on them the colleges arrange their own list. The features that influence the cut-off are the number of applicants appearing for the entrance, availability of seats, and level of difficulty of the test. Reserved categories will have different cut-offs.

Answer Key:

Answer Key will be published immediately after the completion of the entrance exam through online mode. Candidates can submit objections if there is an error in the answer key. The Final Answer Key for GLAT 2023 will be published only after the objection gets cleared.
