Eligibility Criteria:

Only those candidates can apply for the GPAT those who have done graduation in Pharmacy from only and only recognized university. If any candidate interested to apply for the exam but doing the final year can also fill the form and apply for the test. GPAT Exam 2024 Registration process:

First Step– Self-Registration:

In this step, one needs to get done with the registration through the online medium. In order to get done with this specific step, the candidate needs to move to the online portal of GPAT and fill the details and then check the details once before the submission of the form. Details that need to be filled include Personal Details, Address, Qualification info, Email-ID, and Contact Number. Once the form submits cannot alter at all. Second Step– Payment Mode:

One can make payment via two different modes i.e. online payment and another one of cask payment through SBI bank. Those who have chosen the cash payment option need to see the challan on the screen. Take out three printouts of the same. Third Step– Submission of Form:

One form submission is done and you cannot make any changes.

Exam Pattern:

The mode for GPAT examination is online which means that all the questions will ask online. There will be 125 questions. These questions comprise of 500 marks. The exam duration will be for one and a half hours. The mark deduction includes 1 mark deduction for every incorrect answer. However, every correct answer rewards with 4 marks each.

GPAT Syllabus 2024:

GPAT 2024 Syllabus comprises of four sections like Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Pharmaceutics, Pharmacology, and Pharmacognosy.

General Syllabus Includes:

The role of plant-based drugs on the national economy, Applications of plant tissue culture in pharmacognosy, General Techniques of Biosynthetic Studies, Marine pharmacognosy, Terpenes, Alkaloids, Glycosides, Basic Metabolic Pathways/Biogenesis

Pharmacognosy:

Alkaloid Containing Drugs, Volatile of Drugs, Glycoside Containing Drugs, Carbohydrates, Sources of Drugs, Studies of Traditional Drugs, Fibers.

Pharmaceutical Chemistry:

Physical Chemistry and its importance in pharmacy, Medical Chemistry, Its importance in pharmacy, Organic Chemistry, Biochemistry, Pharmaceutical Analysis, Inorganic Pharmaceutical & Medical Chemistry.

Pharmaceutics:

Microbiology in pharmacy, Designing & evaluations, Introduction to Dispensing and community pharmacy, Physical pharmacy, Stoichiometry, The importance of unit operations in manufacturing, Dosages forms, Pharmaceutical jurisprudence & ethics.

Registration Fees Details:

• Those who belong to the General or OBC category need to make payment of Rs. 1400 as well as Bank charges as applicable
• Those candidates who are Female, belong to SC, ST, and PWD needs to make payment of Rs. 700 as well as Bank charges

GPAT Exam 2024 Admit Card:
