HNBGU B.Ed 2024: Hemvati Nandan Bahuguna Garhwal University commonly known as Garhwal University is a Central University situated in Srinagar town in the Pauri Garhwal district of Uttarakhand, northern India. It is named after Hemvati Nandan Bahuguna, former Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh. The HNBG university is residential cum affiliating with jurisdiction over the Garhwal region. It is located on the banks of the river Alaknanda in the mid-Himalayas. The university was established within the provisions of Uttar Pradesh State Universities Act on 1 December 1973 and the Act come into existence on 1st December 1973.

In the beginning, it was Garhwal University. The university was renamed as Hemvati NandanBahuguna Garhwal University in 1989 in memory of former chief minister of Uttar Pradesh Hemwati Nandan Bahuguna and subsequently established as a central university within the provision of the Central Universities Ordinance, 2009. It is among the ten largest universities in India with three campuses(Birla campus, BGR campus, SRT campus) and more than 161 affiliated colleges and institutes and facilitating approximately 1,50,000 students annually, providing higher education to the students of 7 out of the 13 districts of Uttarakhand.

The mode of application is online only. The offline facility for application is not available. HNBGU B.Ed Application Fee:

For General/O.B.Capplications fees is Rs.200/- and for SC/ST/PH application fees is Rs.100/-.

Eligibility Criteria:

• Candidate having Graduation, Post-graduation, or Equivalent degree and appearing candidates are also eligible to apply for the B.Ed entrance exam.
• GENERAL category candidates must have minimum 50% marks and OBC/SC/ST Category must have minimum of 45% marks from a recognized University to apply for HNBGU.
• In addition, Engineering degree holder students having 55 percent marks will be eligible for admission.

Exam Pattern:

HNBGU will organize an entrance exam to shortlist the eligible candidates for B.Ed admission. The entrance exam contains two papers. Both papers are of 200 Marks each. Three hours would be given to the participants for each paper and entrance will complete in a single working day. Both question papers have divided into different sections.

First paper

General Science: The general sense section contains Classification, Series Completion, Coding-Decoding, Puzzle sections, Direction Sense Test, Logical Venn Diagrams, Number Ranking & Time Sequence Test, Mathematical Operations, Arithmetical Reasoning, Inserting the Missing Character, Situation Reaction Test, Completion of series, Analogy, Classification, Counting of Figures, Completion of Figures, Embedded Figures, Cube, Dice, Paper Cutting, Mirror-Images, Water-Images, Paper Folding, Dot Situation, the formation of figures, logical sequence of words.

Aptitude Test:

• Aptitudetestart: 100  questions from the arts section relatively from History, geography, political science, economics and sociology.
• Aptitudetestscience: 100 questions from physics, chemistry, and biology.
• Aptitudetestcommerce: 100 questions from the commerce section.

Note: General intelligence test is compulsory for all the students. They can choose one out of three papers in the aptitude test.

Admit Card:

HNBGU Admit Card for various courses will be released through online mode. Candidates can download it by using their login credentials.

Answer Key:

After executing the examination process, the Hemwati Nandan Bahuguna Garhwal University will soon upload the Uttarakhand B.Ed Answer Key at the official website of the department expected within one week from the date of the examination.
