HP PAT 2022 is conducted by Himachal Pradesh Takniki Shiksha Board for providing admission in various diploma courses offered by the Government and Private Polytechnic colleges situated in Himachal Pradesh. Those who are applying for admission must ensure to have complete knowledge about exam pattern, application form, application fee, eligibility criteria, etc so that giving the test will be an easy process. Given below are the details about HP PAT 2022:

Eligibility Criteria:

• Those who have successfully completed Class X or its equivalent exam from some recognized board with a minimum of 35% marks in aggregate may appear in the examination. Those who are appearing in the Class X exam may also apply for the exam.
• Non-PAT entrants may apply for direct admission if they have attained at least 50% aggregate marks in the qualifying exam if vacancies are left after PAT counseling. Reserved category applicants must have attained at least 45% marks in the Class X exam for direct admission in the diploma courses.

• First, visit the official website to have the application form –  http://www.hptechboard.com
• It is important to register for examination by providing info such as name, date of birth, mobile number and email address. After registration, login the website to fill the application form.
• Fill all the educational and personal information in the application form.
• Make sure that details filled by you are absolutely correct and without spelling errors.
• The candidate will be disqualified if any information is found false.
• The candidate will not get any chance to make corrections in the application form once filled. So, ensure that all details are accurate.
• Upload the latest scanned photograph and signature in the prescribed format. It is compulsory to submit the registration fee otherwise applications will be rejected.

Application Fee:

The application fee is an important part of the application form. General category applicants will submit Rs. 650/- as application fee whereas SC/ ST/ OBC candidates will submit Rs. 400/- for the application fee. Submit the application fee via E-Challan or online mode (such as credit card, debit card and net banking)

HP PAT 2022 Exam Pattern:

The exam pattern for HP PAT examination is given below:

• The exam will be commenced in the offline
• The exam duration will be 180minutes
• The exam will commenced in two languages – Hindi and English
• Paper will have multiple choice questions
• The candidate will receive 4 marks for every correct answer and 1 mark will be deducted for an incorrect answer.

Marks Distribution:

• English will have 20 questions for 80 marks.
• Mathematics will have 50 for 200 marks.
• Chemistry will have 30 for 120 marks.
• Physics will have 50 for 200 marks.

HP PAT Syllabus 2022:

The syllabus to prepare for HP PAT 2022 examination will be based on the class X curriculum. Check the syllabus mentioned below for better preparation:

• English will be consisted of topics such as Error detection, fill in the blanks, sentence correction, jumbled words, grammar, tenses, nouns, pronouns, word-meaning, antonym, synonym etc.
• Mathematics will cover topics such as Polynomials, real numbers, pair of linear equations in two variables, quadratic equations, arithmetic progressions, triangles, coordinate geometry, construction, circles, areas related to circle, trigonometry, surface areas and volumes, statistics and probability.
• Chemistry will cover topics like Structure of atom, chemical reactions and equations, acids, bases, and salt, metal and non-metals, carbon and its compound, periodic classification of elements, etc.
• Physics will be consisted of various topics like Light, magnetic effect of electric current, electricity, sources of energy and environment, etc.

Admit Card/Hall Ticket:

After applying for HP PAT 2022, the admit card is the next important document every candidate should have with them. Download the admit card from the official website. To download the admit card, enter login credentials and admit card will appear on the screen. Take a print of this document as you need to carry along at the examination centre. Admit card will be consisted of information such as name, roll number, photograph, signature, address, exam venue, reporting time, etc. Carry admit card and a relevant Government based ID proof to appear in the examination hall.

Result Announcement and Counseling:

• Go to the official website of the HP Takniki Shiksha board.
• The board will release the merit list of the candidates based on their performance in the examination.
• Shortlisted candidates will move for counseling process on the scheduled day/date/time. Counseling will consist of seat allotment based on several factors such as availability of seats, merit rank, choices opted during counseling etc.
• After that, documents verification will take place and for this purpose, candidates must carry a original as well as a copy of documents with them.
• Lastly, candidates will report to the allotted college to get done with the admission formalities.
