HPU MAT 2023: Himachal University is a non-profit university situated in Shimla. This public university was established in 1970. It is financed by the Government of Himachal Pradesh and University Grants Commission (UGC), New Delhi.
HPU MAT is an acronym for Himachal Pradesh University Management Aptitude Test. This is a university-level entrance test for providing admission to the eligible candidates in the Postgraduate course. Those who want to seek an MBA programme from HPUBS (Himachal Pradesh University Business School) need to appear for HPU MAT 2023. HPU MAT 2023 Application Form:
The application form will be released in April. Those who are sure about the eligibility can apply for the test. More details about the application form are as follows:

Eligibility Criteria:
Check the eligibility criteria before filling the application form. Here are the details about the eligibility:
- The exam conducting authority has not mentioned any maximum age limit for the candidates from Serving, Non-subsidized, or retired defense applicants.
- The upper age limit of male applicants is 26 years and 29 years (SC/ST category)
- The upper age limit is female applicants should be 28 years and 29 years for SC/ST category applicants
- The applicant must have done graduation with at least 50% marks in any discipline from a recognized University.
- If the applicant is from SC/ST category, then the relaxation of 5% in the minimum percentage is provided.
- Those who are in their final year of the qualifying exam are also eligible to apply.
Exam Pattern:
The exam pattern is an important detail you should be well-informed about to appear in HPU MAT. Here is the crucial information:
- The exam will be commenced on the offline mode.
- There will be 200 questions for 200 marks
- All the questions will be objective-type in nature
- Negative Marking is not there if the answer is incorrect or when the question is not answered.
- Section-wise marks distribution is mentioned below:
- English Comprehension & Language – 50 Questions for 50 marks
- Numerical Ability & Data Interpretation – 50 Questions for 1 mark each i.e. 50 marks
- General Intelligence & Critical Reasoning section – 50 Questions for 50 marks
- General Knowledge & Business Awareness section will be for 50 marks and candidates need to attempt 50 questions in this section.

Admit Card:
The admit card for the HPU MAT test will be released after a successful registration. Download the admit card using online mode.
- Enter the Registration Number and Password to download admit card for the exam.

HPU MAT 2023 Selection Process:
Candidates will be selected based on their performance in HPU MAT, marks attained in the qualifying test, performance in Group Discussion and Personal Interviews. The marks given to each section is as follows:
- Application Rating 30
- HPU MAT 2021 50
- Group Discussion 10
- Personal Interview 10
Cutoff:
The cut-off is the minimum marks needed to clear the HPU MAT exam. If the applicant attained below the minimum cutoff marks then the candidate will be declared applicable for admission. The cut-off will also be released with the result.
Exam Result:
The result will be announced through the official website. To check the result, candidates need to enter the registration number & password. The result will also be available on the notice board of HPUBS. The selected applicants will appear for interview/group discussions with original documents.
